[Copy of the Email I sent after receiving my completed all fully correct documents in less than 48 hours! 😁] ------------------- "I must give credit where it is due.. Your Service & Internal Procedures are truly WORLD CLASS: 1. The extremely simple 'Online Name Change Request" process, was laughably quick, smooth & hassle free. [I spent 2 years as a Mobile Engineer, working for Fujitsu, which was mostly Hardware & Software updates, swap-outs & repairs. Every day was a hassle or 'snafu', so rarely was a day "simple smooth & easy.] 2. Your Turnaround Time' was incredible! Some might say, 'Lightspeed', but would I hasten to say nay, it was even faster than that... It was 'God-Speed', & NO-ONE can convince me otherwise. 3. Your considerate Customer Service (YES, that's YOU of whom I speaking! 😉) Following up & just checking ALL the "i's have been dotted, & the t's crossed". So that's a 10 out of 10 Customer Satisfaction Score, & if it was possible, I'd give you ALL 12 out of 10. Excellent Work. You have ALL done sterling work. Please pass my compliments & appreciation up the chain of command, as they deserve to be aware that they & their teams are working like a Swiss Watch."

Update to their reply: This response is a perfect example of how this company treats customers, defensive, dismissive, and missing the point. The wording on their website is not clear, and it’s misleading to suggest otherwise. I paid expecting help obtaining my deed poll, not to be charged just for them to tell me they couldn’t find anything. Claiming the “service was fulfilled” because a quick search was done is not what a reasonable person would see as fair or transparent. Instead of taking responsibility or showing any goodwill, they immediately resort to threats of small claims action, which says a lot about their approach to customer service. They also claim their threat of legal action was “a factual explanation of procedure, not intimidation.” Yet, their email to me clearly warned that they would “pursue the matter through the Small Claims Court and obtain a County Court Judgment (CCJ) against my name.” That is not a polite or factual explanation, it’s a threat. This directly contradicts what they’ve publicly claimed. They’ve even tried to twist my words by saying I “threatened to leave a negative review,” when I simply said I would share my honest experience if it wasn’t resolved fairly, which any customer has a right to do. I have added the email I sent where I mention leaving a review, as well as their threat of a CCJ. They also claim they “offered me a replacement deed poll at a greatly reduced fee,” which is completely untrue. No such offer was ever made in any of our correspondence. If it had been, they’d be able to show proof. Making false statements like that publicly is misleading and dishonest. Your own email stated that the replacement deed poll would cost £26, after deducting the £20 I had already paid as a search fee. That is not a “greatly reduced” offer, it is simply the remaining balance after using my original payment toward a new document. Furthermore, you now say it is “not your responsibility to keep track of who I ordered my deed poll from,” yet your own email confirms that you issued my deed poll in 2009. Therefore, the responsibility for holding accurate records and archives lies with your organisation, not me. (Photo’s of their email to me attatched) Their conduct, tone, and reliance on scripted responses show a complete lack of professionalism and transparency. Their email and public statement contradict each other entirely, and their behaviour towards customers speaks volumes. ******************************* I paid £20 for a Deed Poll archive search. The company confirmed no record existed and then demanded extra money for a replacement. When I asked for a refund, I was met with a dismissive attitude and even a threat of court action over a £20 dispute. I fully understand what their terms say, this review isn’t about that. It’s about how they treat customers and the tone they use when questioned. A professional company would show some fairness, empathy, and respect instead of quoting terms and threatening legal action. I’ve now escalated this through Trading Standards and my bank. I’m posting this so others are aware of how the company handles complaints, not because of a misunderstanding, but because of how they behave when challenged.

I’m incredibly grateful to UK Deed Poll Service for their help with my apostille requirements. I was facing a tight deadline, and they came through with speed, accuracy, and genuine professionalism. The process was smooth from start to finish — clear communication, excellent support, and a fast turnaround. They made what could have been a stressful situation completely manageable. Highly recommend to anyone needing reliable, efficient service for legal name changes and apostille certification. Outstanding team!

I have been helping a single mother to deal with family issues, including the change of name of her son. I found this service by a simple Google search and asked for the forms to be posted to me. They arrived and I found it incredibly easy to follow the instructions and draft letters through the guidance received. I posted the completed application, together with letter of consent from father on Wednesday 26-Mar-2025. On Monday 31-Mar-2025, mother received the completed document for signing and witnessing. I have been so impressed with the speed and simplicity of the process.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Deed Poll Direct. I paid a £16 fee for two deed poll certificates I previously applied for, only to be told that no records existed. But I got it from other company during 4 working days ! Despite this, they refused to refund the fee, essentially charging me for a service that produced no results. To make matters worse, they claimed to have emailed me on February 5th, but I never received any such email. As a result, I waited over 20 days for my certificate, unaware that there was an issue. The lack of communication and poor customer service caused unnecessary frustration and delays. I expected a more transparent and fair approach, but instead, I was left out of pocket with no resolution. I would not recommend this company to anyone needing a deed poll—look elsewhere for a more reliable and customer-friendly service.

After a protracted stand off with the DVLA, the only way to get my driving licence renewed was to change my name by Deed Poll from Alison Cross to Alison (middle name) Cross. The DVLA were perfectly happy with the name that included my middle name, it was my 'old' name without my middle name (that they had been issuing licences to me for over 30 years) that they were not willing to accept. In a complete panic, I contacted the UK Deed Poll service who sent a reassuring email by return - they could help me. They sent me precise details on what to enter on their website form. The change of name took place quickly and efficiently - they were absolutely STELLAR in their support and turn-around time. Cannot recommend these folks highly enough <3 PS - have now got my driving licence renewed :D

This service is without doubt the easiest way to change your name. I visited the office, after making an appointment by phone, and despite running late, my name change went ahead. I'm extremely grateful to the professionalism and friendliness of the office and special thanks to Verity who witnessed my name change and explained the whole process excellently. Highly recommend the high quality service at a very good price.

Scam artist is probably too nice. They sent out the original documents which I completed and returned however no official documents ever sent. I called and was hung up on. I then opened a dispute with my card provider and they then sent an empty envelop to confirm tracking. Official documents never received. Please use someone else and save yourself the money and the hassle
