WEST INDIAN DRYWOOD TERMITE INFESTATION COORPAROO 4151
Recently, it has been mentioned in several media outlets about the infestation of an exotic termite: West Indian Drywood Termite. Properties in Coorparoo have been affected by this termite.
It feeds on construction timber and furniture especially these types of timber:
Pine, especially hoop pine
cabinet woods such as maples, red cedar and silky oak
A colony can last up to 10 ten years and at certain times of the year the termite can fly albeit short distances to find another food source.
If you own property in Coorparoo, the State Government has advised to have a termite inspection.
We have specialist pest inspectors who work in the pest control industry on a daily basis. Along with their depth of experience they also use hi-tech equipment that detect the presence of termites behind walls via their heat mass.
Termites emit a heat mass of 35c and our thermal imaging equipment will pick up that reading without us having to damage any walls.
Our pest inspectors will thoroughly inspect every aspect of your property - home, garage, gardens and any sheds or structures in the yard.
If we do detect the West Indian Drywood Termite, it has to be reported to Biosecurity. Then we will treat the termites and safely remove any infested timber according to Biosecurity requirements.
For peace of mind, please call today to book a termite inspection.
