BUILDING INSPECTION

What does a Building Inspection comprise? Our experienced and qualified Building Inspector will be looking at these aspects:

Bathrooms - Leaking pipes, poor ventilation, cracked toilet pans, shower screen glass issues
Kitchen - Stove damage, shoddy splashbacks, benchtop and cabinet moisture damage
Living Rooms - Carpet staining and wear, loose floor tiles, door jamb misalignments, inadequate window flashings, bent fly screen frames, missing fireplace grates, loose floorboards, blistering paint, signs of water penetration to walls
Underfloor/Subflloor - Inadequate tie-downs, decaying bearer connections, cracking concrete slabs, incorrectly installed termite barriers, cracks in foundation walls
Exterior - Exterior roof, decaying fences, cracked retaining walls, damaged driveways and paths, inadequate drainage, deteriorated barbecues, and hazardous tree locations.
Detached Structures - garage, carport or any outbuildings on the property.

HI-TECH EQUIPMENT

Where our Building Inspector has suspicions of termite activity or moisture intrusion, he uses Thermal Imaging Camera. The attached photos show stains on the ceiling. Aiming the Thermal Imaging Camera at the stains, they appeared blue on the camera indicating moisture. Confirmation there was a leaking roof.

Not all building inspection companies use Thermal Imaging Cameras due to their expense.
