In preparation for placing their home on the market, our client who lives at Coorparoo requested a Pre-sale Building & Pest Inspection.
A pre-sale Building & Pest Inspection is one initiated by the seller who would like a thorough check of their home to see if there are any defects that need to be fixed before listing the property. The client’s goal was to have a seamless house sale and not lose a potential buyer or have the sale price re-negotiated down. Having peace of mind that their property would be market ready was important to them.
Because we have two experienced inspectors on site for every inspection - one for the building and one for the pest - our pest inspector discovered active termites in the fence.
Being a pest inspector, he had the necessary chemicals on board his vehicle to spray the termites there and then. He not only discovered the termite colony but he eradicated it at the same time!
That is the significant benefit in having two specialist inspectors to conduct the Building & Pest Inspection. It's highly unlikely that a Building Inspection who has a pest control license who is not an active pest control inspector could have provided this service.
