Our clients had a contract to buy a property at Crestmead and needed a Building and Pest Inspection.
Our Building Inspector noticed an issue with a wall like there was a bubbling in the plasterboard at the base. He knew this was probably moisture.
It’s hard to see through walls but we have some high tech equipment that can do just that.
The Tramex Moisture Encounter can detect the depth of moisture in walls without having to open the walls and damage them. As you can see from the photo, the measure of moisture in the wall had red-lined it. Not only was there moisture there it was staying wet indicating an active leak.
What was the source of the leak? The shower.
Our high tech equipment was able to confirm what our Building Inspector suspected that there was a moisture issue.
