It is a shame the owner is so unwelcoming and snooty as the stock is lovely. All negative reviews and points are absolutely valid through my experience unfortunately. I avoid this place when visiting the lovely shops in Alderly Edge now. Customer welcoming and service is everything. Please learn to greet customers positively and politely - impressions are important and yours are NOT good in anyway whatsoever.

I visited here yesterday, and the clothes are beautiful. In all honesty I actually preferred more of the sale items even though everything was beautiful. I have bought some 'Meadows' items from here a few years ago but the lady said they no longer existed sadly... Still i loved so much but I am xxs and understandably it's hard at times for me to be catered to. I tried a couple of things on but could have been there for ages if I had more time. The blonde lady was very pleasant and left me alone to browse which is so refreshing in a small boutique as I've been made to feel uncomfortable before. I will visit again when I come to Alderley, as I live in Harrogate. A beautiful little shop and a very well laid out and comprehensive website. I will hopefully find something as i love all the smock type dresses and tops. Thank you 🥰

I love visiting Nikki and her gorgeous shop. I trust Nikki as she is very honest and I trust her opinion. Everything I buy I keep for years and cost per wear it’s an investment as all the clothes are great quality and I still have clothes I wear that are years old. I still get compliments on my old as well as my new purchases. Thank you Nikki. Ps My mum loves her new things also xxx

I was extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this establishment. As a customer, I expect to be met with a basic level of politeness and consideration, neither of which was shown. Therefore, I cannot recommend this business to others and will not be returning.

I absolutely love this shop and have been a very loyal customer for years. There is a fantastic selection of casual and dressy clothes and they stock some very different brands all brought together in a gorgeous boutique. Together with friendliest shop assistants. I feel very lucky to have such a lovely shop in the village. And I have had a lot of compliments if I'm wearing any Tuula outfits as they are just a little bit different and Nicky and her team know their stock so well they are able to help you put things together you might never have thought of.

Great local business for Alderley Edge, amazing staff, always very helpful and polite. I was buying a present for my mother without her being there and the help with sizing and styling was amazing, the garment fit perfectly and the present was very well received. A real gem in the community. Also a great selection of personally curated garments which is a breath of fresh air and you only seem to experience in independent boutiques these days.

This independent women’s clothing boutique is brilliant. It includes a range of hand-picked pieces from brands including mos mosh, mabe, munthe, and lots more. They find and feature only gorgeous clothes that will always be in your wardrobe. Nikki and the team’s styling advice is also a huge reason to visit!

If I could give 0 stars I would. We have recently moved to Cheshire from London so we are very new to the area. My daughter and I popped into Tuula in the hopes of finding a dress for Henley Regatta which was the following week. We were the only people in the boutique and we made a point, as we always do, of saying a friendly hello to the shop assistant/owner? We were horrified at her appalling, sullen and snooty demeanour, honestly it was quite shocking and we were taken aback. It was a rainy day and we arrived in our casual attire after walking the dogs. I make a point to mention this as I believe this to be the reason for our very rude welcome. I felt judged and dismissed as which was unfortunate because some of the stock looked really quite nice. We just left as this is not to be tolerated. How dare she! If this rude individual is the actual owner, I advise you take a customer service course and learn some manners! If it’s the shop assistant, please get her trained ASAP before you lose anymore sales. If it helps, she was about 5ft 4, blonde, In her late 40s, perhaps 50s with glasses… not too sure as her face wasn’t really that memorable but the way she treated us was!!!

Unfortunately, I do have to agree with the review that Elizabeth gave. We decided to visit this shop a few months ago - and we also found that we were not greeted (despite the fact that the lady as described in previous reviews) was free, I too found her demeanour to be rather unwelcoming and condescending in glances. Only after we decided to pick up a few items, did she then become a little more positive towards us. It is highly unprofessional to presume that a client cannot afford your items due to what they are wearing / look like on the occasion (in our case we were at Alderley Edge nature reserve prior to the visit) so we had casual outdoor attire on. I know for a fact that unfortunately the lady is biased on appearances as we visited after in our usual, smart attire and had a totally different experience in general with at the very least - a hello. If it were not for the lovely pieces I would not visit this shop at all as customer service and experience is unpleasant.
