For years we had the same wonderful plumber, Barry Hancock - so intuitive, so careful, so honest. Unfortunately he has now passed away, so when an upstairs shower began leaking onto the ceiling downstairs, we had no idea who to contact. Somehow my husband learned of True Plumb so looked up their reviews. Wow! They have great testimonials as to the quality of their work. We reached out and Joey (along with helper Zeke) were able to come out the same day. EVERYTHING we had read in their reviews proved to be true - good communication, punctual, professional but at the same time personable, very knowledgeable, and careful to keep our home clean. After a bit of investigating Joey was able to pinpoint the likely cause of our trouble, a 40 year old dry-rotted connection. Joey offered us the option of repairing the ruined gasket, then cutting a hole in the ceiling below to 100% confirm his work, OR after his repair us just touch up the water stain with Kilz and run the shower to see if the water stain reappeared. We decided to go the conservative route, and painted out the area, let everything dry and cure for 24 hours, then just tested by running the shower. We ran it on 2 different days like someone taking a LONG shower. No water stain. Yay! Also no ceiling hole to have to repair. We really appreciated Joey giving us that more simple “testing” option. The price was reasonable, the work excellent. Do yourself a favor and call True Plumb next time you have need of the services of a REAL plumber. I trust you will not be disappointed.
