True North Heating and Air - Pine City MN

If you have Heating/AC issues I HIGHLY recommend True North Heating and Air. I called to have our furnace checked after we discovered that our heat was not working. Jed arrived on time and had the issue figured out within minutes. All while explaining it to me so that I understood the issue. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He promptly ordered the part and had everything repaired and up to speed within the same week. Amazing service!!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Called True North to have them come out to see if they could get our boiler running. Jed came and out and determined it was the computer board and we would need to replace it. Paid him for a service call. He ordered the new computer board, came back and put it in. He could not get the boiler to stay running when turned on. He said it was too warm outside and the outside sensor would not allow it to stay running because it was too warm to call for heat. Paid him for the computer board and installation. When it got cooler, we attempted to start the boiler, as that is what he told us to do. The boiler would not keep running. Called Jed again, he came back out and told us it was our zone valve box that needed to be replaced. He ordered the new zone valve box, came out and installed it. He said the pipes were getting warm and everything should be working. No heat ever came out of the registers, the pipes were ice cold. Called him and he said it probably needed water or had an air lock. Flushed the lines, per his instruction, and still would not run. Wish he would have stuck around to be sure heat was coming out, as it was obvious the boiler was overheating and shutting down as the water was not circulating through. Did not call him back, as we did not know if we could afford yet another charge from him, as we had already paid him three times for coming out and not once was the boiler working when he left. Called another guy and he came out, determined it was a loose wire on the circulating pump. He got that wire hooked back up securely and the furnace started up and ran as expected. I was not home at the time he came back and installed the zone valve box (which made no difference as the same code came up after installing the new zone valve box). He left me an invoice. I stopped by his office to drop off payment for the invoice. He was not in the office, so I left the payment with his wife. I explained to her how disappointed I was with the entire process with True North. She stated she had nothing to do with the business. She said she would relay the message to Jed. I never received any calls or feedback from Jed after expressing the frustration. Jed seems like a nice enough guy, however I would not recommend him. He never stayed long enough on any of the calls to make sure the boiler was running properly.

True North has been servicing our home and business for the last several years, and Jed has been great! From communication, showing up at inconvenient times, to installing new equipment, and servicing all of our ac and furnaces. Very trustworthy, we don't even have to be home when he comes to our house, and he locks up when he leaves! Great job, and highly recommend!

Very professional and attentive. Would recommend Jed's services to anyone. He came to our help when our unit failed and was able to be there quickly, diagnose it and help us through. He installed a whole new unit and made sure everything is in order. Our communication with Jed was easy and he always got back to us right away, keeping us informed about the progress. Jed was so professional and did just what he said he would do. We have a new AC and furnace installed by Jed and his helper. Jed always answered my calls and was on time and did a great job. He answered all my questions with patience and kindness. I'd highly recommend this company!

Jed is great at what he does. Very polite and knowledgeable guy. I wouldn't recommend anyone else for your heating and air. Great service. My Ac went out and Jed was Jonny on the spot. He was in and out and I have a nice cold house again. Price was very reasonable and very professional. I won’t call or trust anyone but True North
