I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to Trudy Crawford at Idaho Farm Bureau Insurance. Time has flown by, and I would have to look at my records to see when I switched to Idaho Farm Bureau. However, I do remember making phone calls to look at my options for homeowners insurance that would include liability for my Bed & Breakfast as well as Auto Insurance. I was so pleased to be able to talk to Trudy directly about my unique situation. I wanted to make sure that I had full coverage of my home/bed-and-breakfast for replacement value if it was ever necessary. Thankfully, it has not been necessary, and I have not filed any claims on my home. However, I consider this my forever home on earth And appreciate the assurance that I can keep it that way! Trudy worked directly with me to make sure I got the insurance I needed. It was comforting talking with her and I felt she understood my needs. Additionally, I have full coverage for auto insurance. I recently had a very bizarre auto accident that led to my vehicle becoming a “total loss“! I won’t go into all the details, but my 2013 Nissan Pathfinder that I had only had for a couple months would not start. A month and a half prior I had purchased a brand new battery and key fob. I had parked my car facing inward, so it would be very difficult to get to the battery. I tried a trickle charger and it did not work. I learned how to put the car in neutral while the engine was off. I was trying to get my car out of the garage so my friend could jump , my battery. Unfortunately, well, I was pushing it out of the garage, it took on the life of its own, crashed into trees and was totaled! Technically, I didn’t have to call 911 because it was on my own property and I wasn’t even driving! I did report it to the police and did a statement! I was under the impression that maybe it wasn’t totaled. This was extremely stressful for me to say the least! After communicating with the adjusters and towing my car, I was told that it was totaled ! My heart sank, because I knew I was not in a position to make payments on a new vehicle. However, the settlement was reasonable. They provided rental car services. I ended up only needing it for one day, because I found a used car , that I believe will work for me. I am eternally grateful, because I could have been without a car and no transportation, living in the mountains! I am very pleased that they didn’t. “lowball“ me. I hope to continue to stay with Farm Bureau for many years to come ! Thank you, Trudy!
