We had a fantastic experience with Rachael as our postpartum doula. She had such a positive, warm, friendly, can-do attitude, offering to help with whatever we might need during our first few weeks. She was also very flexible, accommodating our preference for weekends and changing locations after we moved. We greatly appreciated the communication and support from Rachael and the whole team at Seattle Doulas/Troop!

We had a wonderful experience with this organization. TROOP was easy and pleasant to work with from start to finish. We used their postpartum doula support, and the team was incredibly accommodating with our last-minute scheduling requests. Nikki and Rachael were invaluable in helping us navigate those first few weeks of new parenthood (and delightful to spend time with in general).

The Troop team is amazing. As a new mom, I can safely say sleep is a GIFT. Hire the Troop team, get some solid sleep, wake up with a happy well cared for newborn and all your bottles/pump parts washed and put away, best gift you can give yourself! We have 3 different doulas who have come either for night shifts, or 4 hour day shifts. All 3 are professional, timely, and kind! No judgement, just helpful trained hands.

I recently hired Morgan as my doula and would recommend her and the other Seattle Doulas wholeheartedly! Due to an overlapping birth (my baby came 2 weeks past their due date), Morgan first had Alise attend the beginning of my birth, so there was no gap in support. Besides being helpful through my contractions, offering ideas on ways to move and change positions, Alise was very supportive through a scary part of my birth where my baby’s heart rate dropped. She kept me calm and breathing until the heart rate stabilized again. I wasn’t expecting something like that during my birth, and the emotional support she provided (on top of my Mom’s) was so so helpful and needed. Then, Morgan was able to make it for the main part of my birth, and much like Alise - supported me and helped me talk through a lot of decisions I didn’t think I would have to make. She was great - so comforting and encouraging - as well as knowledgeable about my options and how things worked in the hospital! She also came over for the postpartum visit and helped me with breastfeeding, learning how to pump, store my milk…etc. She asked how I was doing and was available to talk about how everything had been going. Finally, I have also used the Seattle Doulas for postpartum doula work and they have also been extremely helpful! I got to take a 2 hour nap while Christina cooked me a meal, fed my baby, gave him a bath and trimmed his nails. Amazing! The Seattle Doulas team was recommended to me by a friend and I would definitely recommend them to others. They have been so warm, kind and supportive- absolutely what I was looking for in a doula!

Seattle Doulas were wonderful to work with. Bonnie really helped us rest and recover during a joyful but stressful time in our lives while welcoming our second child home. We knew our daughter was very well taken care of overnight, so my Husband and I could sleep well. I highly recommend Bonnie and Seattle Doulas. They are kind, dependable, and very knowledgeable. It made a world of difference having extra support in those first few weeks postpartum.

If you're a first time parent you need Seattle Doulas. When having our first baby we were daunted by bringing baby home, healing, and learning everything. We invested in Seattle Doulas postpartum care to ease the transition. They offered the perfect mix of education, counseling, and care. We had a blend of night and day support for the first 12 weeks. Nights made the first few months feel sustainable. Days were like having a fairy godmother come to answer my questions, soothe my worries, and care for my needs. Before I noticed I was hungry, there was a snack plate. That thing I Googled at 2am, I got a trusted answer. With respect and expertise, I'd get lactation support from the comfort of my couch. When I talked to friends who worked with other doulas, it was clear that we were receiving unparalleled care. A note: Seattle Doulas is a small business that is scaling which caused some scheduling issues when we got started. At such a tender time for our family I was not happy about it, to say the least. That said, we shared our honest feedback and the owner immediately got on the phone with us and resolved our issues. At the end of the day, I'm very happy we worked with Seattle Doulas and recommend them whole heartedly, and sharing so others go in eyes wide open.

We looooooove Seattle doulas!! We can’t recommend them highly enough. We hired them for day/night postpartum support. Emily and Christina were our primary doulas and my husband and I both agree with previous reviewers - it was such a wonderful experience. They became part of our family and I’m going to miss them so much. You can tell they really really genuinely care about their clients, and the babies. We found both of them to be so incredibly kind, knowledgeable, thoughtful and helpful — just really good people, we feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with them. Emily and Christina came to our house several times a week for about 10 weeks. They helped us to build our confidence as first time parents, while ensuring we got as much sleep as we could in those early weeks. We learned so much about newborn care and breastfeeding as well. In addition to caring for mom and baby - the help with light housework was also great - from folding laundry, to washing bottles. One thing that sets this company apart from working with a single post partum doula is you have a full team - so while you do get paired with the same doulas, if someone is unavailable or gets sick - there’s coverage for you - and everyone on their team is equally amazing. They have very good covid protocol too - always wore masks, and all are vaccinated Love love love them!

Seattle Doulas are well worth the investment. We contacted them for postpartum support and I couldn’t have been more impressed. My son can be a bit fussy but both Brittany and Molly were AMAZING with him. They are also so knowledgeable; I had a whole set of questions for Brittany and she put my mind at ease and had great recommendations. Contacting Seattle Doulas was the best decision I’ve made so far postpartum and I will absolutely be using them again for any future children.

My husband and I had the best experience with Seattle doulas. From the first conversation with Jen and Alise we felt more at ease about the upcoming birth of our first child. They were supportive, knowledgable, friendly, and calm at every step of the process. We loved getting to know them via Zoom meetings (covid didn't allow for in-person) before the birth and felt confident knowing that we would have an expert by our side throughout the entire birthing process. I took their online birth course and found it extremely helpful in understanding what to expect and how to prepare for labor. I highly recommend that everyone takes their course! Morgan was our doula for my birth and we LOVED her. We have told everyone we've talked to since about how incredible she was and how much our experience was positively shaped by her presence. I had an empowering birth experience thanks to her expertise, positivity, and calm demeanor. She was always there by my side with exactly what I needed at every step of the process. I truly could not have done it without her. I now recommend Seattle Doulas to all of my friends who are expecting! And when we have our second we will 100% use them again, and hope that Morgan is available on that day!

We worked with Kristina Nielsen as our birth doula and it was the very best investment in my mental and physical health leading up to and through the delivery of our son. Kristina has my highest recommendation - what an all-around quality person. She deeply listens to understand and I never felt any sense of agenda, bias, or judgment on her part. From the very first meet and greet, she was invested in my input, preferences, and well-being. She is knowledgeable and practical - which has her always organized, professional, and reliable. These qualities combined with an approachable, humorous, and authentic personality made even the tougher moments of childbirth more manageable. She was a wonderful support to my more reserved partner and looked out for his needs as well. It was a joy to work with Kristina; I am grateful she was a part of our child's birth.
