My husband brought me a grilled chicken sub. It’s the best I’ve had this year. The sliced chicken is well seasoned, love the white onions and the balsamic is so good.

I love a good Jewish sloppy joe and was told I had to try this place since they are the “original” sloppy. I didn’t see my favorite kind- a pastrami and turkey sloppy- on the menu so I had to special order it at the counter. I also didn’t realize they add cheese to it (cue my shocked face) and my husband pointed it out as they were making it and I had to ask them to remove it. It’s not a Reuben it’s a sloppy! The sandwich overall was decent but steep at $19 for not that much meat. They are meticulous at constructing the sandwich and the Cole slaw and Russian dressing were perfect and I like that there was 2 pickles on the side per person. But I wouldn’t come back here for that. The pastrami was so skimpy compared to the turkey and just wasn’t as good as Deli king by a mile. My husband got a pineapple habanero chicken sandwich that he loved. If you’re coming here for a sloppy Joe, skip it and just go to deli king. You’ll thank me later.

I came here for a sloppy joe thinkin I would get some chili on a potato bun. Nope. The place that made the the sloppy joe famous is not the sloppy you’re thinkin of. This is just a double decker thing. That was authentic. I like the bread. Def left a mark. I like how they chop it in 4 pieces. I got mine w pastrami instead of roast beef. It was ok. Def not running back.

Loved it! You can get any deli sandwich you can imagine. Amazing location. Super fresh and the young lady behind the counter was really friendly

I am a foodie and when I tell you that sloppy joe sandwich is worth every coin! I treat myself maybe twice a month and the pickles are delicious! I luv it here, you will not be disappointed!

Had the New Jersey Sloppy Joe, it was absolutely amazing. It was worth every single cent. This sandwich came with a layer of pork, I had it removed. It tastes great. The staff was very friendly, attentive and patient with indecisive persons (me). The seating area was clean and bright with natural light. It was overall a wonderful experience. Ten out of ten would recommend.

I am a customer that was there yesterday at the deli. And there was a guy, sometimes he was a cashier or behind the counter. I didn’t like how he treated the customers or the other workers. He would say bad words to the workers. He would say stuff like they’re idiots or they’re worthless. He would constantly yell to the other workers. I hope the boss fixes this problem because I would not like to go back and see the same treatment again. It’s a good place to eat but I would not like to go back to the store and see the same mistreatment of women again because they are the ones that this person mistreats

Definitely fresh food, just wasn’t a fan of the dressing and coleslaw too sweet for me and the dressing tasted more like ketchup idk if that goes with this type of sandwich. However There’s so many options that I would come back again and try something else.

Stopped to check out the famous sloppy joes. Very busy deli, lots of friendly staff, and we enjoyed our food. One big sub, enough to split 3 ways!

Disclaimer to my review: my sandwich was very good. This place is wildly, unethically, over priced. I normally am okay spending money on food as I understand the cost of goods, restaurant price model and lack of profit in the restaurant world. However, this is a deli. I own and operate 3 quick service restaurants that sell wild sushi grade number 2 blue fin tuna that I don’t charge this much for. I also understand the way things are in current America and the stresses we are under with how expensive things are with inflation, YET I can not understand the price for 1 “half” sandwich that does not contain pricey ingredients or even fresh vegetables and fruit. Not homemade bread, cheese, cabbage, canned tuna fish… Story from today: This was also my first time here anyways so I handed the cashier a credit card however their credit card machine wasn’t working. I was forced to use the atm which was a $2.75 charge. So right there I was down that amount of money. I handed the cashier my $20 thinking that was enough for my Reuben “half” with no meat just tuna salad sandwich (rye bread, coleslaw, Swiss and russian dressing), chips and an ice tea. She then says “oh the chips & drink are on me for the trouble.” Wow thank you! That was very kind. She then hands me back a few cents from my $20 and I am confused thinking she took back her initial statement because I said oh no problem at all you don’t have to do that…I then went on to ask “wait how much was the sandwich” she said $19xyz with tax. With drink and chips this would have been $30+ easily….. Needless to say I am completely and utterly perplexed that a tuna sandwich could ever possibly cost this much money, not even in NYC, not anywhere & definitely not South Orange, NJ. I was beyond and I even said are you sure multiple times, and then said that was the most expensive sandwich I have ever bought.
