I scheduled and reserved a U-Haul truck over a week in advance using the U-Haul 24/7 Rideshare app, which is supposed to allow self check-in even outside of business hours. When I arrived on time, the app glitched and wouldn’t allow me to complete the check-in process due to an issue with the terms and conditions screen.
I called the dealer when they opened, and instead of offering help or even a basic apology for the inconvenience, the person I spoke with was rude and dismissive. Despite the app failure being completely outside of my control, they refused to hold the truck I had already reserved because I was not able to arrive until an hour later. The lack of professionalism and unwillingness to accommodate was extremely frustrating.
I do not recommend using this dealer or relying on the U-Haul self-service app, it doesn’t work properly, and you won’t get any help from the staff if something goes wrong.
