Robert at Total Fiberglass was easy to deal with. Had my transom repaired and top deck refinished and gouges removed. Looks great.

Brought my nitro z-6 to total fiberglass repair to fix damage to my fiberglass(see first pic). Asked the owner several times if the damage was superficial or if there was underlying structural damage. He assured me that this was superficial and NOT structural.I agreed to pay $2000 to have him repair it without involving my insurance company. The repair was done quickly. Got my boat back and paid the $2000. About 4 weeks later I was fishing on Saginaw bay. After getting off the water I noticed I had new damage and a big crack not 6” away from the original repair(2nd pic). Called the owner back and he admitted that there was obviously structural damage that he overlooked. He didn’t have much to say and didn’t offer to make things right. At that point I decided to go to a real professional. Where it was confirmed to be structural damage. Also, I was shown how haphazardly the repairs were done. The work was borderline negligent and unsafe. So now I have to file an insurance claim and I’ve already wasted $2000 because I trusted total fiberglass repair. They don’t take pride in their work and the owner is not a man of his word. Save yourself a headache and go to a real professional from the start. Last 2 pics are of the shotty work done.

Hi, after looking online to get my boat painted and I read the reviews for Fiberglass repair. I called Bob and explained to him that I was looking to get rid of the red in my boat and replace it with black. He took the time to talk it over and I couldn’t be happier of the results. Great guy and completely trustworthy. I will be using him on future projects. Thanks

Top quality work, excellent customer service! Repaired a large crack on my campervan and you can't even tell it was ever damaged! I expected that my van would be out of commission for repair for at least 3 days but they had it ready to go there very next day! The quality of the work is second to none! I was wired a price at an RV shop in Holly that wanted four times the amount that these guys did! My van looks better than it ever has. I highly recommend you check out Total Fiberglass!

I have a 1963 Larson All American 16 foot boat that Bob at Total Fiberglass Repair has restored for me. The boat was in bad shape and my dad just wanted it out of his yard. When I took it to Bob, I was just thinking about getting the boat in "good enough" condition to take out fishing again. Bob suggested a few ideas an we agreed to have the boat restored. Bob started working on the boat in Feb 2018. Bob's craftsmanship blew me away. No shortcuts were taken on this boat. Floors, Fuel tank, Transom, fiberglass work were all done to make this boat new again. During the process, I was left up to figuring out what colors to paint the boat and a few other odds and ends. At first, I think Bob and I were skeptical about the Dodge Octane Red and white color i picked for the boat, but after the paint job was complete, We knew we had something special on our hands. Bob is a resourceful guy and was able to set me up with other local business guys to finish the electrical work, seats and Bimini top, and graphics for the boat. Bob did such a great job with my grandpa's boat that I will use him again in future projects and refer others to do the same!! Thanks again Bob for restoring life back into a boat with a lot of family history ~ Eugene M.

I met Bob through Lapeer Boat Services because i needed a transom on my 1990 Islander. I had quotes as high as 6500 and everyone wanted to force me to use the expensive stuff blah blah. Well Bob came in with a price that wasn't just affordable, I actually was blown away. The price was so good i decided to have him do the floor while he was there which led to a little more work than i expected but still completely reasonable. Did almost every piece of wood in my boat (all the bad stuff) and the transom and the helm for half of some of these transom prices i got prior. My only regret is that I didnt have him do the entire boat :) He was friendly, informative, i was skeptical of the vinyl wrapping he wanted to use but absolutely love the way it turned out. The work is clean, he put everything back together the way it was. I cant wait to get out there. I will edit this after i get on the lake, but just the look and sturdiness of the work he did and the quality materials used i wont have to touch this for at least 30 years if ever. And crazy fast also. Told me a week i thought that was crazy and EXACTLY 7 days later she was back. Thanks Bob for making my dream boat finally become a reality. Highly recommend and I will use Bob for any future fiberglass/wood work in the future!

Went to them with a job and asked for an estimate. I outlined what I needed done. He told me 5000 dollars. More than I wanted to spend but I needed it done. I gave him 2500 down. I did have 2 very small items I added on. #1 a very small bollard on the stern. It involved a 3/8 hole. He said he would also add a backplate. The backplate was a 1/2 inch washer. I don't know if he sealed it but everytime it rains I have water under where he put it. I now have to take it apart and seal it. Charge? 250.00. This was not hard to get to. I also asked for 2 eyes on the stern. I will have to take it apart and seal theem and put backing plates it as well. This is in the aft cabin about where you would put your head. The bolts stick out 3 to 4 inches. I brought in the parts for both add-ons. Another 250 bucks. The third was a bigger job. Seal up a 4 inch hole where the chimney went through from a wood stove. When I went to pick the boat up I brought the remaining 2500 as well as an extra 500 dollars. The new price he wanted now he wanted me to pay 8884 more dollars. I reminded him that the estimate was for 5000. He said he never did this type of a job before and he wasn't responsible for the over run. I needed to stay in a budget that is why I got the estimate to start with. A 5000 dollar job is one thing an 11300 + plus job is something else. The finished product had paint brush hairs stuck in the finished fiberglass. There are bumps from things landing on the wet fiber glass. They were never sanded out. I still have to take his work apart and do it right. Next time I will find a professional. Would you recommend Total Fiberglass?

The summer of 2015, I took my always garage kept 1978 24' Excalibur to Bob at Total Fiberglass Repair. The boat was in need of some minor dock rash repair. In addition, I was never satisfied with the way the boat rode or handled which I now to believe to be a poor hull design. Out of our discussion, Bob informed that he used to work at Sea Ray in the finishing and mold shop departments. As a result, Bob and I agreed to lengthening the straight section of the keel all the way to the transom and straightening the bottom at least 6' forward of the transom. We agreed on a price and Bob stated for the agreed amount he would include additional fixes he saw along the way at no add'l charge. He held his word with no nickel and dime'ing along the way. Additionally I agreed for Bob to urethane the decks in their entirety, with gel used on the the bottom. I've received many compliments on how nice the boat looks. Monday 8/22/16 was the first opportunity I had to finally test the boat. The improvement in rough water capability and general handling are (no exaggeration) jaw dropping. Bob says what is going to do, then does what he says. Thank you again Bob. I will continue to do business with you and recommend others in need of repairs, modifications etc. :-) ... Rick H.

Gave Bob a jet boat that had been neglected for years and he made it look show room new. Very satisfied.

Had the floor and carpet done on our 91 Celerity, after it was rotted. They did an excellent job replacing the old floor and replacing the seats for us that we purchased somewhere else.
