Unprofessional and unfair — do not recommend.
I booked an appointment with Dr. Adrian Wong at the Toronto Foot Clinic after not being a patient for several years. The receptionist acknowledged this twice in the automated booking system and sent me intake forms, which I completed.
On the day of my appointment, I went to the location I had attended in the past on Bay Street, only to discover the clinic had moved. At no point was I directly informed. I called the office multiple times and left a voicemail explaining the situation, but no one called me back. (The photo of the clinic on Google Reviews is still the old location I wen to to.)
When I finally reached someone, the receptionist said the new address was in the confirmation email and that the move had been two years ago — with no apology. Burying such an important change in an automated email is not sufficient, especially since they knew I had not been a patient in years.
Despite this, I was charged a $110 no-show fee for an appointment I could not attend due to their failure to communicate properly. It feels like the automatic system was used as an excuse not to speak with patients directly. This was punitive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable.
At no point in the last 2 years did I receive notice of the clinic moving, although I have always had the same contact information. And I certainly did not receive an apology for the convenience or an alternative appointment, just an immediate charge for an appointment that I missed because of lack of communication on the clinics part, and my their dodging of communicating with me.
I strongly advise you do not book with this clinic — The unprofessional receptionist will not give you any information, especially if you are new.
