Not sure how to measure your trailer axle correctly?
Here’s a quick guide to help you get accurate measurements every time:
1️⃣ Measure the Hub Face
Measure from the outside face of one hub to the outside face of the other hub.
This is often called the “Hub Face Measurement” and determines wheel positioning.
2️⃣ Measure the Spring Center
Measure from the center of one spring seat to the center of the other.
This helps ensure the axle fits your trailer’s frame.
3️⃣ Check Axle Capacity
Look for a tag or stamp on the axle, or measure the tube diameter to estimate load capacity.
4️⃣ Inspect for Wear or Damage
While measuring, check for bends, rust, or cracks that may require axle replacement.
✅ Tip: Always use a sturdy tape measure and record measurements in inches for accuracy.
