A True Story from Top Men Removals:
One evening, a client from the Brentford area called us in a real emergency. The moving company he had booked cancelled at the last minute, leaving him with no options. We always try to help—especially in situations like this. Even though it was late and we only had two team members available, we took the job. It was a cold, rainy early March evening a few years ago. The move started at 8 PM, from an apartment in Brentford to another one by the Thames in Hammersmith. Everything was heavy. The new place was on the second floor with no lift, just stairs. The distance from the van to both properties was enormous, and the rain didn’t stop for a second. The client needed everything done quickly—weather wasn’t a factor for him, so it couldn’t be for us either. The mattress was the last item. It was already 1 AM when we carried it—exhausted and soaked, facing that long distance once again. We joked that in this rain we might end up in the Thames… and if that happened, we’d still hold everything above the water to keep it dry. We finished after 2 AM, and by 7 AM we were already back in the van heading to the next job. It was a tough night, but a real one. Because for us, it’s not just about moving—it’s about showing up when others don’t.
