Tried it based on some other reviews and had high expectations. The place was clean, staff was super friendly, decor and atmosphere are pretty cool, and music wasn’t too loud or obnoxious.
Unfortunately the food didn’t live up to the hype. Flavors were good, but the quality of the meats is incredibly sub-par. Thai teas were delicious, but with 90% ice it was a letdown to spend $5 on a 2oz tea. I had the mixed seafood “Dynamite” bowl, which tasted good, but was just salad shrimp, krab salad, and sides on rice. My older daughter had the shrimp katsu bowl, which was again just salad shrimp, ground up and breaded. My younger daughter had the chicken bowl, which was the worst of it. The chicken was spongy and mushy (pictured), and seemed almost like spam made from chicken. She wasn’t able to eat it, and the rest of us tried and agreed with her.
For the price ($18-20 per person) we expected much better. Theres a Poke shop just down the street that’s MUCH higher quality at a similar price. Will try this again if the ingredient quality improves.
