Toby King - Drum Tutor

Toby was a good enough tutor, however be aware that when your child is sick or when Toby is sick no make up lessons or refunds will be allowed. I sort of get it for when your child is sick as the lesson is available though your child is not, however would have thought it was reasonable for a make up lesson or refund when the tutor is sick and the service is not available. When asking for a make up lesson then a refund for 2 lessons Toby missed this was his response "I'm afraid not. I don't charge per lesson. I charge for the time slot. The payment holds your time slot for the term." Have now moved our son mid term, after paying for the whole term in advance. I didn't bother trying for a refund as im sure Tobys unwritten cancellation policy is the same as the missed lesson policy, however thought other parents should be made aware. Our sons new drum tutor offers make-up lessons and refunds if the tutor or your child cannot make it. Our son prefers the new tutor also which is great.

I walk away from every lesson upbeat and eager to keep practicing. Toby is patient, supportive and encouraging. He has excellent subject matter knowledge and utilises flexible learning techniques to ensure you 'get it'. Aside from the fun lessons, Toby was instrumental in guiding and assisting me establish my drum kit, as well as ensuring it was correctly assembled and ergonomically set up. I have no hesitation in recommending Toby as a drum tutor, you'll love the experience.

Toby is a fantastic drumming tutor. My son absolutely loves his lessons and Toby has had a hugely positive influence on him. Toby was recommended to me by several family friends as a talented musician and trustworthy person. Highly recommend!

Toby is a amazing drum instructor he is extremely patient and can identify things to work on very quickly while always keeping my daughter interested in the lesson, he always wants the best for his students he understands that not everyone learns at the same speed and shapes his lessons according to his student.

Toby is an impressive drums teacher, I sat in on my sons first lesson and learnt quite a bit myself, was very impressed with his approach to teaching and gentle demeanour, highly recommended!

This man knows something we don't. I go to Toby for drum lessons every Tuesday and I feel motivated to practice every day. If I could give more than 5 stars I would 7/5 stars
