** I noticed mr. Collins reviewed himself with 5 stars and accused me of lying. Look at the pictures and decide for yourself. I have recently had a reputable "licensed" contractor come out to view the damages caused by mr. Collins and his workers.
I told him that Mr Collin's was saying that it wasn't his problem because it was caused by the hurricane. The contractor laughed and assured me it was not caused by the hurricane and told me anybody who knows what they are doing could tell me it wasn't caused by the hurricane. The only places I have leaks are where Mr Collins and his workers supposedly did repairs. **I have posted updated photos. No, it's not fixed yet. I'm a single mother of 4 and do not have thousands of dollars to throw at people. Hopefully I am able to get it fixed before my roof caves in. - Hope your wife enjoyed her new FREE skylight, Tim. I'm sure not enjoying my leak you traded it for.**
I'm not trying to get my roof fixed at his expense. I'm trying to receive what I PAID for and get him to fix his shoddy work that is now going to cost me $7,000 to fix. Also if it was caused by the hurricane then tell me why I have pictures from August with the leak surrounding the obvious rectangle where he removed my skylight and the hurricane was October? C'mon people.
Don't trust all of his family's reviews and his realtor friend that are trying to bury my review. We all have those in our life who would defend us regardless of our actions. These are those people. He had no reviews until I posted one.
I think it's also important to note that I have known mr. Collins for many years. He was considered a friend until this happened. I have absolutely no reason to lie or try to extort something from him. Also, I am not a malicious person. However, this situation is a serious problem that is only becoming larger & more serious the longer it goes without being fixed. Again, I cannot afford to fix it at this time or I would have a long time ago and also would've just let it go. He is a terrible, terrible, greedy man.
I Hired Tim Collins, aka TLC Handyman services, to do work on my back porch and master bath. I needed a skylight removed and the roof over my back porch repaired.
I contacted Mr.Collins one week after completion because I saw water leaking in my bathroom. Mr. Collins "said" he came out, (while I was at work) "sprayed my roof with the hose and found no leaks, so most likely the shingles just hadn't sealed yet". (Although I would've thought he would need to come IN my house to say there was no leak. 🤔)Rained a couple more times, I would hear water dripping from the ceiling into my bathtub. Sent Mr.Collins pictures and told him I thought it was still leaking. He said he would see if he could get the roofers to come check it out. A month goes by, nothing from Mr.Collins.
Now comes October and we have to evacuate due to hurricane Matthew. I left it alone for a while just out of consideration for Mr.Collins and knowing with the damage around Savannah he was probably pretty busy. However, my neighborhood was virtually untouched by the hurricane. A neighbor's Trump sign was missing, but that's about it and we can't be sure that was even caused by the hurricane.
Middle of November I texted Mr.Collins and reminded him that I was still waiting. What happened next blew me away......
He acted as if he didn't know what I was talking about and blamed the hurricane. He tells me he wished he had known about it prior so that he could have had the roofers cover it under warranty. Seriously!!? I reminded him that I contacted him 1 week after completion. I reminded him of the photos I sent. This man is a crook.
The photos I posted are the same photos I sent to Mr.Collins early September. I don't believe he ever came back out to look at the terrible job he did. He got his money and didn't care about the quality of job.
