TK Land Design and Rock Walls

I hired Thomas to replace about 200 feet of retaining wall at my house on Lakeshore Road, which was in poor condition, and to extend the width of my existing driveway. I was introduced to Thomas by my neighbor, and after seeing the impressive work he had done for them, I decided to hire him for my project. Thomas exceeded my expectations in every way. He is highly skilled, completing the work efficiently and with great attention to detail. The project was finished on time, within the agreed budget, and the quality of the work was outstanding. Thomas’ prices were right in line with market. His communication throughout the project was excellent and the work was incredible. It’s hard to find contractors that can stay on time and in budget. Thomas and his team do both really well.

We hired Thomas to retain the back and side of our property. A big task but he nailed it. His professional opinion on design and meticulously placed rock looked amazing. He was really great to work with and he got the job done beyond our expectations in a short amount of time. We would use Thomas again if we require more rock work in the future.

I hired TK Land Design to replace an old wood retaining wall with a 2 tier rock wall. He did an amazing job on the wall. We are very happy with the end result and the service. TK is friendly and helpful and I highly recommend his work.

Hired Thomas to build a retaining wall for a parking space, scrape out our backyard and fill with crush. He was always professional, detail oriented, efficient, completed the job ahead of schedule and managed to avoid any collateral damage to our property, although there were some very tight areas. His quote was accurate and more than reasonable for the job. When he was finished, we were sad to see him pack up. Was like saying goodbye to a friend!!!

Thomas built two walls for us in an existing backyard with a steep slope. The terrain was challenging to say the least, but after careful thought and planning he got right to work. The result was incredible. His walls look as though they were there from the start. Thomas was prompt, approachable, friendly, completed work in less time than planned and under budget! Thomas (the owner) was a pleasure to work with at my residence in the mission area of Kelowna. This is a person that doesn't seem to advertise (and doesn't need to ...). His rock walls are the best I have ever seen and they are properly made. Thomas makes sure that the walls (made out of the best rock) will not erode and fall apart like so many walls that I have seen. The best part is when the rock walls have an incorporated flight of rock stairs. After a well thought out planning stage, he tamps down the base of crusher chip rocks and then he places each boulder inter-lockingly with his excavator. This ensures proper drainage and durability, and the result is also aesthetically pleasing since everything is accurate & level. Thomas' rock walls could withstand even a 9.9 earthquake. Thomas also makes flagstone patios. rock wall seating areas, fire pits along with his specialty of rock wall & rock stairs fabrication. Even though he works only by himself, at the end of a work day, what he gets done in an 8 hour day is amazing. If you only want to have your landscape done ONCE, ... then this is the guy you have to START with, .. because he makes the infrastructure perfect, and he forecasts what the final landscape will look like. Be wary of a landscape company that does "EVERYthing". One should get a specialist to perform the specialty work and THEN get the landscape company to finish things (irrigation, plants, etc). I highly recommend Thomas (TK Land Design).

Thomas build a rock retaining wall with stairs behind our house and helped stabilize another steep garden area - we love it. He is professional, super friendly, hard working and is very good at what he does. We would not hesitate to hire him again. We are so happy with the finished result.
