At Tip Top K9 Denton, we provide comprehensive Service Dog Training that meets Americans with Disabilities Act standards for individuals requiring medical, psychiatric, or mobility assistance animals.
Our Service Dog Program:
Temperament Evaluation — Assessing whether your dog has the disposition, focus, and stability required for service work. Not all dogs are suited for service work; we provide honest evaluations.
Public Access Training — Teaching reliability in various environments including restaurants, stores, medical facilities, transportation, and crowded spaces. Service dogs must remain focused and non-reactive regardless of distractions.
Task-Specific Training:
Medical Alert (seizure, diabetic, cardiac alerts)
Psychiatric Support (anxiety interruption, grounding, nightmare interruption)
Mobility Assistance (balance support, item retrieval, bracing)
PTSD Response (creating space, alert to episodes, tactile stimulation)
Legal Compliance — Ensuring your dog meets ADA requirements: task-trained for disability-related needs, behaves appropriately in public, under handler control.
Handler Training — We train both dog and handler together. You'll learn proper handling, maintenance protocols, and legal rights/responsibilities.
Ongoing Support — Lifetime Group Classes
