A surveyor will look at the problem area for things like mycelium (soft cotton wool-like growth), splitting or brittle wood, an musty smell, or rust-coloured dust when investigating and ruling out certain types of rot, damp or condensation.
They will also holistically examine the external and internal of the property to determine any factors which could contribute to the problem.
