A Hidden Gem of Peace and Luxury in Setiu Tijami Villa & Resort in Kampung Mangkuk, Setiu, is an absolute hidden gem. If you're looking for a peaceful escape from city life, this is it. The location is uniquely stunning, situated on a narrow strip of land between the South China Sea and the Setiu River, creating a incredibly tranquil atmosphere. We stayed in the 3-bedroom villa and were thoroughly impressed. The villa was spacious, clean, and modern, offering a luxurious stay in the heart of a traditional kampung setting. The private pool right outside our door was a huge hit with the kids! The amenities are top-notch. They offer well-maintained ATVs and bicycles for exploring. The sunset ATV ride through the village, past free-roaming goats and cows, was an unforgettable highlight. The resort also has a nice reception area with a self-service pantry (vending machines for coffee, snacks, and cup noodles), which is a thoughtful touch. While the car park shelter is basic, it did its job well—our car remained cool even after hours in the sun. The location is also perfect: close to the iconic Pantai Penarik roundabout with its fantastic seaside restaurants and near a jetty for easy island-hopping day trips. The option to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided upon request adds to the convenience. We would definitely return and highly recommend Tijami for anyone seeking a unique, relaxing, and luxurious getaway in Terengganu. We book Tijami for one night on the way to Perhentian Island. The complete area from the hotel is clean and it looks pretty new. We had a really comfortable room with a double bed and plenty of space. Overall the stay was really nice. The women from the reception were so helpful and friendly at all times. In the end we are sad about staying only one night, because we couldn't explore the nice village arround and due to bad weather conditions we couldn't do the Firefly tour that was planned for the night. I think it is worth to stay there for a longer time. They're offering a lot of activities and the hotelarea is nice to just relax.

I booked the Double Room at Tijami Villa, which was advertised as 20m², but the actual size was only around 12m². The room felt much smaller than expected. The toilet was also very cramped, with an awkward layout—the ceiling is higher outside but becomes very low inside because it’s built under the stairs. It felt uncomfortable and poorly thought out. Overall, the stay was disappointing, and I hope the listing is updated to reflect the real room size and layout honestly.

The location is nice, kampung vibes also enjoyed kampung live style. Really recommended.

One of the best place for staycation. From arrival, kind receptionist, beautiful deco, clean and big room. Good car parking. Attractive activities and service. Must try their Nasi Dagang.
