The owner of Thor’s Painting, Thor is a master house painter. I got his business card from my coffee stand, Broadway Coffee. I had a few bids and some other painters were not willing to do our house (cuz of the age and awkwardness) . Thor was the most attentive, friendly and likable. He was up for the job and he made it look easy! Our 1925 Craftsman house is a painter’s nightmare, but Thor made sure all the peeling paint/wood was sealed. The color is perfect and he took his time to make sure the trim and the gutters were the colors we wanted. He kept us updated about the work and if there was choices of one way or another, he would consult us before doing the job. Thor also took some time inside our house giving me some advice on how to paint the walls and ceiling in our foyer/stair area. Max, his dog was welcomed at our house and I enjoyed his presence. He took our dated house and made it gorgeous again! It was a pleasure working with Thor. I will definitely use him again!

I was highly impressed with the way Thor communicated throughout the whole process of painting the interior of my home. We hired him after our previous painter quit mid job and Thor came in and finished the job and corrected many issues. He was punctual, reliable and very friendly. Lucky for us, Thor painted our daughter's house so we knew who to call for professional results with a personable, friendly painter. From start to finish, we were impressed with Thor and his assistant, Emily. Thor actually answered his phone, came out immediately and presented his written proposal within days. They communicated their process and time-line, and double-checked with us regularly along the way. I met Thor a few months ago, when he was working for another painting outfit. When I heard he had started his own business, I was ready to give him my biusiness. I had been thinking having my house repainted as the old paint was starting to peel and flake off. It appeared as if the previos painters did not apply any primer and the wood was exposed wherever the paint was coming off. I was very concerned. Thor came in and explained his process and the work he would do. He and his crew were always on time and worked long and hard to get my house painted just right. He communicated each step of the way and if I had any questions or issues , he was made sure they were addressed. Provided professional painting and prompt , courteous, and responsive service on interior paint job to first floor, stairwell to upstairs, and touch up throughout the upstairs. Also, expertly refinished window sills and sealed cement siding on home exterior. Very reasonable price and willingness to work around our renovation schedule. Fine craftsman. Small business. Thor is honest and dependable. Do not hesitate to request a quote. My wife and I are totally satisfied!

Found Thor on the Nextdoor app. He got back to me right away and was out to my house for an estimate within a couple of days. We have painted most of the house ourselves, but we needed help getting to some of the tallest sections. I had had other companies come who either didn't feel comfortable working at those heights, or they just didn't want a job this small. Thor was willing to do the job and he did a good job with the help of one of his guys. Very important to note that they are both very polite, friendly, and each time Thor scheduled a time to be at my house, he was there when he said he would be. And perhaps best of all, his mascot, Max the dog, was there to help as well, waiting patiently in the truck until needed:) Would definitely call Thor again for work in the future.

We bought a 1952 house in Ballard in May of 2025. There were alterations, repairs, upgrades, and painting that needed to be done. Thor's Painting and Construction was recommended to us, so we engaged them to do this work. We have been more than pleased with the work Thor and his workers and subs have done. Thor is reliable, thorough, and does what he says he is going to do. He also has creative alternative solutions for issues that arise with a house of this age. We unhesitatingly recommend Thor and his company and will use his services anytime in the future when we need something done to the house. It is a challenge to make a new house a "home" and that is exactly what Thor is doing for us.

Tor’s work is impeccable. We had him replace a basement floor, remodel a bathroom, and ultimately rebuild the back wall of a small house. He is smart, knows his craft, and knows who to hire as subs. I trust him with anything that needs doing!
