From the start, I got the clear impression that they were not going to leave until they truly figured out what was going on—especially with the fire hazard alerts from my Ting monitor. Instead of jumping to conclusions, they took the time to investigate properly. They noticed that when the Ting monitor was plugged into a different outlet, the voltage readings changed. This level of attention to detail made all the difference. Their conclusion and repair: They identified a loose neutral wire in an electrical box, which was causing a floating neutral and dangerous voltage fluctuations. Once repaired, the issue was resolved correctly and safely. It was refreshing to work with electricians who genuinely troubleshoot, explain what they find in a way that makes sense, and focus on safety rather than selling unnecessary work. I highly recommend Shock Doc, and especially David Lopez and Jose Delapaz, for their honesty, expertise, and commitment to doing the job right. Outstanding Service by Jay Honea with Shock Doc! Jay was absolutely fantastic! He arrived on time, was super polite, and took the time to clearly explain everything he was going to do before starting. He disassembled the fluorescent light panel, bypassed the ballast, and carefully handled what seemed like a maze of wires. Jay checked every connection for voltage and expertly rewired the fixture to convert my fluorescent lights into bright, efficient LED lights — flawlessly! What really impressed me was his attention to detail and cleanliness. He didn’t make a mess, but still swept the area with a broom and dustpan and even used a handheld vacuum to leave everything spotless. It’s rare to see that kind of pride in workmanship these days. If you’re looking for a professional who knows what he’s doing and treats your home with respect, Jay Honea with Shock Doc is the one to call!

Huge thanks to Travis Ward and the team at The Shock Doc. Travis came out on a Saturday, right before a major freeze, and still took the time to thoroughly troubleshoot and fix a tricky electrical issue that had a breaker tripping and an exterior wire smoking. He quickly identified the unsafe wiring, cleaned everything up properly, replaced switches, and made sure the system was safe and working correctly. I really appreciated how professional, knowledgeable, and transparent he was throughout the process. Given the timing and circumstances, I’m extremely grateful he was able to get this resolved when he did. I highly recommend Travis and the team, and I won’t hesitate to call them again the next time something comes up.

Excellent service! Ben was very knowledgeable, polite, and professional. Shown up on time and enter my house with shoes cover. He diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed it. Jay and Mark installed a 26kw Generac System. It was a very damp, chilly day and Jay did his very best to see that our electricity was on as much as possible to allow us to run our heat. Jay and Jose had previously installed the concrete pad the Generac sits on. Both parts of this install so far has been very well done and we are very happy we chose Shock Doc for this job. They go out of their way to please their customer. Today is Dec 22,2025, and I am adding to my review since the work we have had done by Travis (owner of Shock Doc) and his tram has been completed. Bad weather drlayed the start up by about a week or it would all have been complete sooner. After Travis got the Generac running on 12/11, he repaired an outdoor light and installed a new one. That day he spent a lot of time explaining it to us and answering all our questuons. In discussion with him about how we could provide some help to a neighbor if the Generac was needed, he suggested the way that would work best for everyone. He came back today with Jose and completed that task. He is an owner and Master Electrician who works as well as his people. We have been very pleased with everyone we have met from this company and especially the owner. Everything has been well done, in a timely manner and reasonably priced. We highly recommend Shock Doc. Like us, I expect you will become a very pleasef customer.

These guys are GREAT! Ben explained everything IN DETAIL and built my confidence in the Shock Doc's ability with every topic. Travis, David, and Jose did an EXCELLENT job! They're very professional. They sat down with me and explained and showed me what was needed to be done for safety. They took me through step-by-step from start to finish. They were able to answer all my questions confidently. In addition, I liked that they were a local company as well- support local businesses. The job started on time and was completed in a timely manner. Afterwards, David walked me through the step-by-step completed job. Thank you again!

This company was great to work with. I had a situation that needed to be taken care of today and they came out and fixed it same day for me.
