Did my scaffold ticket and working at heights here. Sean was great; he made sure we actually knew our stuff and gave us good guidance on the build. Interesting spot for it too, being in a shared hangar at Moorabbin Airport. Definitely a solid place to get your tickets done.

I recently completed a 5-day course to obtain my Scaffolding Ticket, and I feel compelled to share my experience. This is not a “tick-and-flick” training facility. Sean, together with his wife Becky, runs a genuine family business built on pride, professionalism, and a real commitment to producing safe, competent scaffolders. I don’t normally write reviews — but I strongly support and endorse people who are doing things right, and Sean certainly is. The training facilities are outstanding. Much of the practical work is conducted inside a large aircraft hangar, giving you space, realism, and proper hands-on experience. The classroom and separate lunch area are clean, spacious, and well lit, with everything provided — coffee, tea, drinking water, biscuits, microwave, and more. You feel comfortable, focused, and ready to learn. The sheer amount of equipment available is impressive. Sean provides everything you need — nail bags, hammers, lanyards for spanners/podgers, tape measures, levels, hard hats, hoists, confined-space tanks, and scaffold components I had never even seen before. You don’t need to bring a thing — just the willingness to learn. As an instructor, Sean is first-class. He has real-world experience, deep knowledge, and teaches with the perfect balance of humour and seriousness. He is honest, passionate, and genuinely wants every student to succeed. He teaches the class as a whole but still finds time for one-on-one guidance whenever you need it. You can clearly see that he cares — and it shows in the quality of training he delivers. After completing the course, I walked away not only as a competent scaffolder, but more importantly as a safer one — with the knowledge and mindset . Two thoughts stayed with me after finishing: • They say “Those who can’t do, teach.” — Not in this case. Sean clearly can do, and does. • They say “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks.” — Again, not true. This course proved otherwise. Sean has a real go, and I admire that. You’ve got to love the Irish ☘️. Highly recommended.
