The Pancake Kitchen

Awesome friendly staff, family atmosphere, fun way to eat. Treated my four teenagers to enjoy a "cult" classic venue. Large meals, best steak and perfectly medium rare.

What a gem of a place! Amazing food, extremely friendly service, and the food was just to die for! We ordered the Country Breakfast, Pancake Lasagna, and Loaded chips. Each dish was filling, with the fluffiest pancakes served with a heap load of whipped butter. Also enjoyed a hot Marshmallow Chocolate on a cold winter afternoon. The building is a heritage structure with a unique vintage vibe in the interior. Would highly recommend!

The kids menu is great and reasonably priced. They loved their iced chocolate and Alice in Wonderland pancakes. As a vegan I’m very happy to see a plant based menu in addition to the regular menu. I ordered the Jamaican banana pancakes. Unfortunately the pancakes were awful. Grainy and odd texture and taste. I make pancakes all the time and the only ingredients to replace is egg (use egg replacer) and use alternative milk (soy/oat etc) I’m not sure why they were grainy but it made them inedible. The ice cream and caramelized bananas were delicious though.

We took the grandchildren for a pancake lunch and ordered from the $16.50 specials menu. The food was delicious and the portion size huge. A nice treat for school holidays.

Disappointed with this place. We ordered online and had to wait 30 minutes just to get our drinks — how does that even happen? Then we waited another 30 minutes for the food, which was a total letdown. The big breakfast came out cold, the hash browns were burnt to a crisp, and the so‑called $7 side of strawberries was literally a tiny bowl with maybe five sad strawberries in it. For the price and the wait, the quality was honestly unacceptable. We won’t be coming back.

Very good food, arrived in 10 minutes, and idk why everyone is rambling on about prices, actually quite cheap, especially compared to any other place

Food was great. Only stars off because the F.O.H made us feel like a big inconvenience for dropping in without a booking. It really wasn't a big deal, we could have gone to another cafe if the place was booked out. Just thought the interaction was weird.
