Edit, just saw the reply, they phone answerer actually had the opportunity to reply to me at the time, you had the chance right after my final response (which I didn't add to the o.p) to the "yeah" which was "I must have the wrong #, you don't sound very professional" that was your opportunity to offer an excuse or apologize and turn that sale around, been in the office game for 20 plus yrs, day 1 of professional phone etiquette in business practice. Answer all calls professionally and state the Co name. No yeah's or hey's, act as if you are a professional offering a professional service.
