The Northern California School of Botanical Studies is excited to announce Banyan Botanicals Facebook post below for being chosen the #2 community grant winner -
"In a year of crisis and disconnection, we believe kindness and generosity are important medicines for the health and wellbeing of humanity. We are humbled and honored to make a small difference by offering community grants to wellness professionals who support the BIPOC (black, indigenous, people of color) communities."
🌱 Our second community grant was awarded to Amy Branum of the Healing for the Brown and Black People of Northern California project. Amy has a clinical practice and botanical school in Northern California through which she creates safe and healing spaces for Brown and Black people in her community. Her goals are to offer a POC community workshop for resilience, healing, and stress-support using Ayurvedic practices and herbs with a second class on making herbal remedies. Through this grant, Amy will continue to uplift and focus on providing the best possible care to those most affected by injustice in her BIPOC community.
