The Loft Raw Bar and Seafood Grill

Food is incredible and Nicolas, our bartender, was so sweet and accommodating. The fried snapper reminded me of a favorite dish from my childhood and the octopus carpaccio had one of the best applications of truffle oil we’ve ever had. We’ll definitely be back!

Great little place on downtown bar harbor. The good was good, the only complaint is they have me a super small piece of corn with my lobster meal and I asked for another. It took over 15 minutes to get it and then I was charged $5. The drinks were delicious.

My friend and I had an amazing time here. First, we called before coming over because it seemed like most places were closing. Nick answered the phone and was very nice and welcoming on the phone. We took an uber. Once we got to the place, Nick made us feel at home, suggesting great things and answering all of our questions. The drinks were spot on and food was delicious. However, Nick's service was what made our experience one of a kind. Coming back there today for happy hour!

My husband and I had an incredible experience at The Loft. Nicholas was our server and he was friendly and super knowledgeable! The beer is great, we could hear the live music, and the food was amazing. We ordered the sushi burrito and crab Rangoon flatbread. Both very good! Highly recommend. The oyster shooters are also really good. They have a good happy hour too.

Although we never had the opportunity to dine in this lovely establishment. I can recommend the hand crafted cocktails that are served with a smile. Special shout out to Nicholas who came to our emotional rescue as we quickly discovered there was no taxi service after 9PM on a Saturday night? Thank you St Nicholas!!!

Absolutely loved our experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We had the sushi burrito, fruita de marre, whole snapper, oysters. they also offer happy hour with discounts on food and drinks. service was attentive and friendly, and the ambiance was perfect for a relaxing seafood feast.

Overpriced, overdecorated, over promised average. 1. Heads up, If you see on the menu an item that says ‘5 large shrimps’ and then next to it have an option to get ‘3 cocktail shrimps’, somehow in their universe it means the same thing. This was a low quality, definitely overpriced item, I can get a bigger shrimp and cheaper price at Costco. I think the menu and the wording is misleading, and Owner's response didn't address my 'experience.' Charging over 3$ for a single cocktail shrimp and calling it 'big' is truly an unfair way to sell their menu. 2. We had to ask for a light at our table when they were putting them out on empty tables on the deck just to make it look nice, very weird experience overall. Definitely not worth the price and getting there through another restaurant was super weird and awkward.

We stopped at The Loft for a beer, but ended up eating the brown butter scallop risotto because it looked amazing. The food is fantastic. The staff was outstanding and even the chef (Cedric) came out to make sure we enjoyed our meal. We will be back!!

Really loved this place. Went there two nights in a row. We tried close to a dozen different small plates and they were all great. Reasonably priced as well which was a huge surprise when everything in Bar Harbor is expensive regardless of the quality of the food. Highly recommend. The oysters, beet salad, porkbelly, ahi tuna nachos on won ton chips are good places to start!

not a great experience at this place. food was ok, server couldn’t care less if we were there or not. it was super hot and stuffy inside and just not welcoming at all. we all got lobster rolls and fries. the fries tasted like they were cooked in old oil. the lobster was fine but nothing to make you return. there are a lot of choices in bar harbor -Don’t bother with this one. $160 for 3 lobster rolls fries and water.
