Nestled among the Sierra Nevada foothills sits this breathtaking facility among 13 acres of pine trees, ponds, streams, and large grass paddocks all providing a comforting rural fresh air vacation destination or spa day for your pet.
We are proud to be Nevada County's Premier Pet Care Facility and one of the only boarding facilities fully licensed and authorized for operation by Nevada County. Your pet enjoys tranquility of country living, in the safest manner, with the most complete care and services available for your pet. Offering a 3,000 square foot climate-controlled facility on a 12 acre park-like estate The Kennels is an “All Suites” resort, each with its own private patio.
Cat boarding
The Kennels Cattery features the “Cat-Nap Cottages” - These separate cottages are of the two-room variety offering your cat plenty of space. Each cottage features luxurious bedding, a hideaway perch, litter box, food and water as well as twice-daily turndown service!

First stay for a full day and the staff impressed me with their gentle kindness with my timid golden retriever. They took the time to explain lots of details and made me feel comfortable and confident. I’m so pleased things went so well. My doggie will be back again!

The Kennels are our go to for boarding our two dogs. The accommodations, the customized care and the friendly staff leave us feeling calm and secure that our pups are in good hands while we travel. The extras like play yard time and long walks make it an easy choice on where we board. We can’t recommend The Kennels enough!
