The Katmint Learning Initiative
About
The Katmint Learning Initiative is a school that believes in progressive education. We understand that in order to efficiently focus on the development of the Whole–Child there is no one method or way to teaching a child in which caters solely to the individuality of every student. Therefore we offer a best of both worlds approach by incorporating multiple philosophies such as Bank Street, Montessori and emergent curriculum into our primarily play based curriculum. We accept children 2 to 5 Years and offer School-Age services. Families with private pay or ACS and HRA vouchers assistance are welcomed.

As a community leader, parent, and advocate for youth empowerment, I can confidently say that the KatMint Learning Institute is a gem in Brooklyn. Their commitment to professionalism and excellence is felt the moment you walk through the doors. The environment is consistently clean, welcoming, and—most importantly—safe for children to learn, explore, and thrive. What sets katMint apart is their dual focus: not only do they nurture the growth of our children, but they also offer valuable wellness support for adults. As a parent, having access to a space that prioritizes both child development and adult well-being is a rare and powerful gift. Thank you, KatMint, for being a trusted, intentional space where children feel seen and families feel supported.

My cousins attended Katmit ages 2 and 18 months. The activities were developmentally appropriate for their age group, the spaces were clean, welcoming, organized, and appropriate for their age. The teachers were attentive, attuned to the students, and engaging. They really enjoyed their time with Katmit.
