I had the opportunity to stay at Hygate on Lexington for 2 weeks as I recovered from hip replacement surgery. All of the employees I dealt with were helpful, pleasant, and more than capable. The staff in the dining room were so friendly and took great care to look after the residents quickly and efficiently. The meals at Hygate were very good, which was totally surprising to me. During my 2 week stay, there was a lovely variety of meals. Food was always hot and delicious. There were a lot of things on the activity calendar, most of which I would have participated in, but I was very limited in what I could do, considering my recent surgery. I would not hesitate to recommend staying at Hygate on Lexington, whether it be for a temporary respite stay, or a permanent relocation.

Hygate is a great place to call home. It’s warm and welcoming and the staff are very attentive. They go above and beyond to make their residents feel right home and comfortable.

We had an opportunity to participate in a Christmas bazaar and it was a blast! It was super fun for both residents and the ones who came in to shop. Shout out to Stacy the activity manager for organizing it and she and the rest of the staff went out of their way to even feed us fresh delicious sandwiches! Staff was very friendly and welcoming at the same time super caring to the very happy residents. Thank you Stacy and this place looks like a very happy place in all levels.

We have recently moved our Mom into Hygate. The General Manager has been very helpful and we look forward to her continued support. The retirement home is absolutely beautiful and the facility is very bright and clean! We're looking forward to experiencing all the services that are offered and particularly the dining. I would strongly check it out and take a tour if you are even remotely considering retirement living. The staff is wonderful!

From the moment we walked into Hygate and were greeted by Teddy the Sales Manager's dog, I felt like this was the perfect place for my in-laws to transition to. The facility is beautiful, but more than that, the staff treat you so kindly. The Sales Manager Krystie Zolnai was very thorough and never rushed us during our extensive tour and the ensuing paperwork - with Teddy at our side accepting head scratches. I have toured several other facilities but chose Hygate for it's many amenities available for the residents and the caring staff who all spoke to us and answered all of our questions. Celia is the Nurse Leader and was very interested in my in-laws health so that they knew about any concerns or special needs. No other home took interest in who my in-laws really were as human beings deserving dignity and respect in their final years. I feel very confident that my in-laws will fit in well and importantly, make new friends and be happy and healthy. I feel strongly that pets are important in our lives - and especially the elderly - it was definitely the little things that made our decision to chose Hygate so easy. Thank you Teddy!

I don't write a lot reviews like this, but felt I should pass on my positive experience for the benefit of others. This retirement residence is just awesome! Our family just finished helping Mum and Dad move into Hygate Assisted Living last week and the whole experience has been fantastic. The accommodation and amenities are first class and the service my parents have received has been super or "unreal" as my Dad says. We looked at few retirement residences in K-W, and chose Hygate for a number of reasons - including because it is a new facility; has a warm/welcoming feel to it and we could see first hand the dedication of the staff to meet the needs of their residents. Krystie and Celia, in particular, have been so great to work with. One of the issues Mum and Dad were worried about was the food and dining - I can tell you Dad loves the food (especially the deserts - lol) and staff have been very accommodating helping him pick out items for him to take up to his suite for my Mum when needed. All in all and 5 Star rating for sure!

My mom is staying here for a week or two as she is recovering after surgery. It has only been 1 day and we can't be happier with the staff at Hygate. From the phone calls with my mom, to the warm welcome when she came in yesterday, to all the extra care and fantastic help she has received so far. My mom is so happy and she says the food is great! So happy to know she is taken such good care of while she is recovering. Keep up the great work to everyone there! Thank you so much

I have dealt with Krystie at Hygate many times and she is amazing. Her commitment to ensuring the residents are happy is incredible, and it is very evident she genuinely cares about them. She is very organized, professional and easy to work with.

I have used the Hygate facilities for some community events and have always had a great experience. The rooms are lovely and the staff has been nothing short of amazing. Krystie always makes sure every detail is taken care of.

It is a nice place however the management and staff are changing all the time. Not very organized. Foodis good. Portions are sometimes a bit small.Wait staff is very nice they could use more staff at mealtime. I havent had any interaction with the the head of nurse staff but have not heard good things about the head nurse. It's on par price wise. All are so pricey. Overall it's not bad. Just needs some good managers.
