The item is made of wood which expands and contracts when either wet or dry conditions, if the barrel is slightly dry when it arrives then it may leak slightly for a few days but as the wood absorbs the water the gaps will seal. Please keep the barrel and lid wet as this will stop the wood from drying and contracting in the future.
