There are two methods of fixing bike shelters, bike stands, or bike racks: overground fix or underground fix.
Depending on the location for the installation and a few other factors, both have their benefits.
Underground fix is recommended for soft surfaces, or for a neat finish on paving slabs. It’s an ultra secure fixing, where the stand is set in 250mm x 250mm blocks of concrete as foundations.
Overground fix is recommended for solid concrete bases. It’s quick to install, allows flexibility if relocation is expected, and can be fixed with high security bolts.
Every project is difference and we will always recommend the most effective and suitable system for your requirements.
