As a Thai tourist you do miss home food sometimes. This is the place. It is not westernised Thai flavour at all. This is so authentic and we love that the kitchen could adjust our food allergy as well. It was so good we came back twice during our vacation. In Porto but feels like you are in Thailand. Recommending this! Thank you service & kitchen staff. You're the best.

We came across this restaurant by chance while exploring Porto one evening and decided to return the following day for lunch. It turned out to be an excellent decision. We arrived shortly after opening and were fortunate to secure a table, as the restaurant quickly filled up soon after we were seated. The popularity of the place was clearly a reflection of the quality of both the food and the overall dining experience. The food was outstanding; fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The menu indicates spice levels for each dish, which is particularly helpful, but guests also have the flexibility to customize the heat according to their personal preference. This thoughtful approach makes the menu accessible to both those who enjoy milder flavors and those seeking a more authentic level of spice. Service was efficient, friendly, and attentive throughout our meal. The staff were welcoming and ensured that everything arrived promptly while maintaining a warm and professional demeanor. Every dish we ordered was thoroughly enjoyable, and the combination of excellent food and attentive service made for a memorable dining experience. We would happily recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Porto and looking for authentic, flavorful Thai cuisine.

Really good and authentic Thai food! Everything was tasty and made me feel like I was back in Thailand. If you’re traveling in Porto and missing Thai food, I definitely recommend this place. Besides trying the local Portuguese cuisine, this Thai restaurant is another great option to try while you’re in Porto!

We had a wonderful lunch at Thailander in Porto. The food was delicious, fresh and full of flavour, and the service was excellent. Sammie and Shawn were so lovely, friendly and welcoming, which made our lunch even more enjoyable. Thank you for a great experience. We would definitely come back again!

Great tasting, authentic Thai food. After about a week in Porto, I need some spicy food. Thailander is a great place to get your Thai food! The som tam pla-ra is flavorful, the glass noodles salad and the shrimp tomyum also taste just like back home. The staff are also wonderful and the service is great! We will be back!

A really great Thai restaurant in Porto. The service was excellent and incredibly friendly – we felt welcome and well taken care of from the moment we arrived. I had the Pad Thai, and it was absolutely delicious. It tasted fresh, flavorful, and very authentic, with all the different flavors perfectly balanced. We also really enjoyed the atmosphere – the restaurant is beautifully designed, cozy, and creates a great setting for enjoying Thai food. Conclusion: Delicious and authentic Thai food, wonderful service, and a lovely atmosphere. Definitely a recommendation when in Porto – we would happily come back!

We decided to try Thailander while in Porto, and honestly, it turned out to be one of those meals you keep thinking about after you leave. The space itself is great, they have both upstairs and downstairs seating. Downstairs felt more open, brighter, and just more comfortable overall, so I would definitely recommend that if you have the option. The service really stood out. Everyone was genuinely friendly and accommodating, not in a forced way, but in a way that makes you feel welcomed right away. We leaned on their recommendations, and I’m glad we did because every single dish they suggested was worth it. Food-wise, this felt like a truly authentic experience. Everything was top notch. The spice levels were exactly how we asked for them, and the flavors were just on point. You can tell the food is made fresh, it came out hot, full of flavor, and just really satisfying. Portions were also solid. Easily shareable between two people if you’re trying multiple dishes, which is exactly what we did. Overall, this place checks all the boxes; great food, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere. Definitely one of those spots I would come back to without even thinking twice.

My first time at Thailander. Dinner with my brother on Thursday night, we made reservations and were seated immediately. The staff were super friendly and warm. We ordered Som Tom (papaya salad) and vegetarian spring rolls for starters. Both were excellent. Main dishes included pad se ew with tofu and green curry with shrimp. My brother and I lived and worked in Bangkok Thailand for several years, and I can say that the food Thailander served reminded me of the awesome flavors of Bangkok. The green curry was very traditional Thai as was the pad se ew and Som Tom. We finished our meal with mango sticky rice and ice cream which were also delicious. Overall this was an excellent experience and we will definitely return soon. We both highly recommend Thailander for delicious and flavorful Thai food and warm hospitality.

Everything we had was delicious, reasonably priced and the staff were very helpful! Atmosphere could do with a touch of 'spice' but still, it was nice! P. S. You must try the coconut soup!
