Texas Inn Harrisonburg

Nice comfortable place, good food and great service. Breakfast all day. I came in two nights in a row while I was in town. Quick service. Cheese sausage and egg sandwich and a Katz dog on the side. I finished that off with a deep fried sweet potato pie ala mode. Yup, deep fried. Both nights - ha. Thanks Felicia for the service and thanks to Sarah and Peggy for cooking.

Loved the nostalgic look of this lunch counter restaurant! The manager was so kind and recommended the cheesy western, made with their own tangy relish. Their coffee is delicious and it's their own brand. Sitting with the friendly patrons at the lunch counter was such a great experience in a time when physical socializing is becoming rare. Next time I'm in Harrisonburg, I'll be stopping by to see Marla (the manager, I think) and see what she recommends next.

Great local charm and hospitality. I have been eating at Texas inn in Lynchburg for 40 years. Unreal that Harrisonburg is lucky enough to have this place. I roll cheesy (cheeseburger with fried egg) all the way double relish, bowl all the way double relish, hot all the way double relish. I love that meal but limit how often, I look at this place as a treat. Keep up the great job, staff is friendly and they offer a walk up window.

Extremely overpriced fast food, comparable to McDonalds quality with a 5 guys price tag. They messed up all 3 items that I ordered, so it was my first and last time there. Save your money. At least they were friendly but that’s about it. I’d rather a delicious meal from a mean staff than a crappy meal from a nice staff, especially when it’s takeout. EDIT: I reached out 4 days ago per your request and got no response after a follow up email as well. Strange. EDIT #2: still ZERO response 9 days later, your managerial comment was a blatant LIE. Ripoff dining experience.

This is probably the FASTEST I have ever sat down, ordered, and received my food at any point. The employees were all very nice and the food was great! This was a great choice, I really enjoyed coming out here

Food was okay. I got cheese fries and it was better than the burger. The sauce on the fries taste similar to the queso they sell at Taco Bell, so I enjoyed it. However, the burger was really disappointing. The buns were completely dry and the patty was smaller than the bun itself. It was also very thin and I expected more for $4.50. Probably would not come here again, but at least the service was good.

Pretty good place too eat late night. Super fast service. Very nice people that work there. The mustard relish is really good. Best late night food in Harrisonburg.

We came here after some exploring around historic Harrisonburg and were craving a snack of onion rings and fries. We ordered the chili cheese fries and onion rings along with some soda. The feel is definitely a diner feel and we enjoyed sitting at the counter and chatting with the service staff. The food came out fast and was made to order. The cheese on the fries is like a nacho cheese taste and consistency and the chili is a meat chili that has a slight kick which was perfect with the cheese and perfectly cooked crinkle cut fries. The onion rings were also cooked perfectly and while had more of a beer batter feel it was not overly thick and had a nice crunch. This was perfect for what we were looking for and we would definitely come again for both the food and the friendly staff!

For my 1st time at this restaurant I very much did enjoy a Hamburger that won 1st place in a contest in Harrisonburg Virginia called The Harrisonburger. The environment was great and very clean and the customer service was great and they were very friendly and the prices were definitely affordable.

It's like prison food, everything single item I ordered looks and tastes like pre-made from yesterday. My Doordash delivery is super fast, but the burgers and hotdogs are as cold as room-temprsture. Even though the price is quite affordable, the food is still not worth it. Also, my fires are missing, they forgot to give me my fries. Please don't order from this restaurant.
