When springs need repairs
A standard pair of torsion springs is usually 10,000 - 12,000 cycles, or about 9 to 12 years, depends on cycles of use. If they’re broken, it’s easy to find: broken garage door springs will snap in half or stop working altogether. The other way to tell when springs need replacement is the garage door is not staying open after it has been fully lifted.
