I read the reviews before going and having been to Vietnam multiple times over the past few years I pretty much knew what to expect. I was not disappointed. The shop was a bit sparse but clean and perfectly acceptable. The prices were certainly reasonable. Also, as I expected from prior reviews the staff spoke mainly Vietnamese and enough English to understand and be understood. I had no issues. Having moved to Lavon within the last 2 years I admit it can be a challenge to get to other areas such as Plano, Allen or McKinney so I am very excited about this place. I will be back!
Now for those of you that aren’t aware, a Vietnamese massage is usually more vigorous than a Swedish massage but less intense than a full Thai massage. A “typical Vietnamese massage” usually combines elements of traditional Asian massage styles with some unique Vietnamese touches.
A full body massage usually covers the back, shoulders, arms, legs, feet, and sometimes the head. The therapist uses their hands, thumbs, elbows, and sometimes forearms. The style mixes kneading, pressing, stretching, and gentle pulling. Special attention is often given to the back, shoulders, and legs. placed where people carry tension. The pressure can range from gentle to very strong, depending on what the customer wants. Many people describe it as “firm but relaxing.”
So, if you don’t specify exactly what you’re looking for, this is what you should expect.
