Helping Impulsive Dogs Build Self-Control Through Guided Training
Our impulsive dog training program focuses on helping dogs who struggle with sudden reactions, overexcitement, or difficulty settling down. Many owners face daily frustrations such as jumping on guests, darting through doors, grabbing items, or pulling hard during walks. These behaviors often intensify during seasonal transitions when routines shift, visitors increase, or outdoor activity becomes more stimulating. In our one-on-one sessions held inside your home, we work directly in the environment where impulsive behaviors happen most. Each visit lasts 1 to 1.5 hours, giving enough time to understand triggers, shape calm responses, and coach you on consistent handling techniques. This four-week program uses positive training methods to help your dog develop patience, focus, and emotional balance. By addressing impulsivity early, you set your dog up for safer, more predictable behavior long-term. Select students who graduate may be invited to participate in group classes, where they can continue developing social skills and reliability in a controlled setting. This approach strengthens communication between you and your dog and reduces stress during busy or unpredictable seasons.
