Swift Fish Charters

Captain Tim was great, told him we wanted to catch our first Slam. Well not only did we do it once, but twice. Some nice Red fish, Snook, and Trout. Captain Tim gave me some great pointers on inshore fishing. The location for pickup was convenient. We were on the fish with in 30 minutes of leaving the dock. The boat was new, clean and easy to move around,(to catch the 30 and 32 in. Redfish.) Perfect day of inshore fishing.

When our other charter company cancelled our fish excursion, Tim was able to get us out on the water! We were down in Tampa for spring break from WI and wanted a fun family day on the water, and Tim delivered. He not only did he understood the needs of a family with a 5 year old, he went out of his way to make our experience memorable. He catered to our needs and wants, and was super patient with our young angler, even throwing in a line but letting him real it in. We caught speckled trout, salt water catfish, winged catfish, lizard fish, puffer fish and even a stingray! Would HIGHLY recommend Tim.

I highly recommend Captain Buck and Swift Fish Charters of Tampa Bay. My Niece, her son (17) and my son (25) and I went out for a 4 hour charter on a Saturday and had a blast! We caught a ton of snook, mackerel, and shark. Captain Buck was right on time and had everything ready for us. We just walked on the boat and we were catching fish within 15 minutes! When the wind picked up he moved us to another spot out of the wind and we started catching again. Captain Buck helped us getting the lines in the water and clear of each other yet let us reel in the big ones ourselves with helpful guidance. He was very knowledgeable about the best spots and the best ways to bring in the different types of fish. He was also very personable and fun guy to have around for the day. I highly recommend!

Captian Tim is a pleasure to hire to show us a Fantastic Time on the bay fishing and boating! I have a 7 year old who loves to fish, Captain Tim answers all his questions and is very patient, kind and most importantly knowledgeable about fishing and teaching us all about what we’re doing !! We had a blast fishing with Tim! We brought the whole family and everyone enjoyed it! Tim told us when & where to meet him on the day of the charter. When we got there the boat was in the water and he already caught the bait so we were ready to fish immediately. He put us on the fish quick and before we knew it we were catching snook left and right. My 7 year old had so much fun she said at one point "this is one of the happiest days of my life!" We can't wait to go again!

We had a great trip yesterday with Tim. We fished at three locations in Tampa Bay. I won't say exactly where because I don't want to give away any of Tim's trade secrets. As Tim puts it, we weren't so much fishing as we were catching! Without exaggeration, we'd cast our lines in and get hits almost immediately. Tim was a busy man baiting hooks and unhooking fish all morning. I lost count of the number of fish we caught, but I do recall most of the species: northern puffer, spiny box puffer, lady fish, catfish, stingray, sheepshead, and trout. My family had never really fished prior to this trip. He taught my wife and kids how to cast and had them casting their own lines in no time. So don't worry if you don't have any experience. Tim was friendly, pleasant and fun to be with. This was definitely a memorable life experience!

We had such a great time with Captain Tim!! He was fantastic with the kids and we all caught lots of fish. We even accidentally caught a seagull, but it was freed safely. We can't wait to go back out with Captain Tim!!! We did the "catch and eat" option which was a little pricy but well worth it. Captain Tim, is the man. He immediately put us on fish! Great Captain and we had a great time. Highly recommend fishing with him and his crew. Took two boats and his mate Buck on the other boat was awesome! We will be back in Tampa again to fish with Swift Charters.

We just finished our 4th family fishing trip with Tim. My girls always have a great time and talk about it long after the fishing is over. Fishing with all 3 girls takes patience and experience this is what makes Swift fish charters the only choice for us when fishing in Tampa. I wanted to take my boys flats fishing in Tampa Bay for spring break and really didn’t know where to begin selecting a charter company except by reading google reviews. Swift Fish Charters has earned every bit of their 5 star rating. We went out on the water today with Captain Buck. While our charter started at 9am, captain Buck’s day started at 5am catching bait fish so the live well would be stocked when we got on the boat. I mention this because, in reading other reviews, some charters wait to catch bait until the boat leaves the marina. We literally spent 3.5 hours of our 4 hour charter with lines in the water! The marina was so close to great fishing spots. It was amazing! Captain Buck was professional, patient, funny and ultimately put us on a ton of snook and redfish! You can tell that he loves his job and works hard to give his customers a 5 star experience. We could not have asked for a better day on the water! We will definitely be back to see Buck and Swift Fish Charters again!
