Great spot for a night out. Hosts lots of different artists and musicians. Really nice food and drinks. Shame we only discovered on the last night in Bacalar as we really enjoyed our time there. Good selection of wines, well made coctails. Fair prices. The pizzas are delicious.

Always have a great time at Sweet Child! Fabulous live music, food and wine!! The flat breads are my personal favorite. The owners are super personable and fun to hang with. It would be hard to come and not leave friends with them šŸ˜ŠšŸ¤˜šŸ¼šŸ«¶šŸ¼

I wanted to take the opportunity to say a big thank Mitzi and Derek for looking after us so well. Everything was delicious and beautiful . The staff are so kind and attentive. The space has great energy. I have been there 5 times in the last 3 weeks. Being a fussy foodie from Australia I can say the food is incredible! Then there is the fantastic and very unique mexican wine selection. I have tried a lot of wines from around the world and I can guarantee they are all packed with flavor and fun. I have tried everything on the menu now and I can highly recommend this place.

Came here during our most recent Bacalar trip and we stayed next door to this lovely spot. Guimel was super sweet and welcoming. Best mango margaritas and mezcalitas in town! Don’t hesitate to stop by this little gem. Great vibes, music and art.

Found this gem right near our hotel. Spent a night sampling wines and decided we would go the next night for some food and more wine. Had a full vegan menu and was really tasty, tried some new flavours and food. Very filling, the boards just kept coming and coming. Wines are really good quality. Wish we had more time to go again. Definitely worth a visit.

We had a great experience on the 24th of December where there was very good food (really amazing!) and nice entertainment. I checked the negative comments from a Mexican family and I didn't hear anything "racist", neither did my Mexican girlfriend. The guy was trying to create an atmosphere where the whole group of people (most didn't know each other) would connect with each other. If there was a thing when it comes to the language it was him making fun of himself. He was very respectful and loving, not like the family who left after eating the food without trying to make a nice evening. I hope all will be better for all in 2026. For this place; you are doing great!

A great local spot in Bacalar. The food is consistently good, fresh, and they accommodate allergies. The service is genuinely friendly. They make you feel welcome the moment you walk in. It’s casual in the best way - a fun atmosphere, often with live music, and inviting for everyone in the family. Perfect for a relaxed meal, whether you’re a local or just passing through. A favorite when we’re in Bacalar.

Pepperoni pizza with honey was surprisingly good. Better choices of wine for a very good price compare to other places . Had a fun night . Something different.

We are glad that by chance we saw this place on google maps. Mitzy’s wine bar offers a nice different variety of local Mexican wines. We enjoyed the small tapas as well. They were perfect for wine pairing. Toluquita and Zikil Pak were my favorite tapas. I enjoyed Finca Sala Vive and Plata 925 for wines. I should not forget to mention that I liked her music playlist! Another reason to regret staying in Bacalar just for a day. I definitely want to visit this wine bar again!

Very good Mexican wine and great atmosphere. Yoab gave us great service and wine recommendations. I highly recommend to visit this place while in Bacalar.
