Dr. Gardner and his team came highly recommended by our pediatric dentist, Dr. Dabir at Carlsbad Children’s Dentistry. We are so glad to have found him and his staff. Dr Gardner has a wonderful bedside manner (and a good sense of humor that puts people at ease), explains things really clearly, and pays meticulous attention to detail. His staff provide personalized service, and makes the relatively involved process of getting expanders and braces feel so straightforward. The office is very clean and comfortable, and there is an outstanding mural on the walls, which I actually really enjoy looking at every time we go! Everyone there is so nice, my kids actually enjoy going there! Dr. Gardner also helped me with a new retainer and I am very happy with it! I highly recommend this practice.

I came to Surf n Smiles to fix some bite alignment issues with Invisalign. Dr Gardner and his staff are friendly and very competent. He is fastidious to every detail not only with how he treats his patients, but in how his office is run. If you need orthodontic care, this is the place to go!

We love Dr. Gardner and his amazing staff! I have 4 children who have been or currently are his patients. Not only is Dr. Gardner exceedingly thorough, experienced, and trustworthy, he uses the most up to date technology for patient comfort and ease of use. He calls to check up on my children after appointments to make sure everything is going ok. All of his staff members are wonderful—they are so happy, kind, and accommodating. Furthermore, Surf and Smiles makes everything fun! There is always a surprise waiting for my kids at the orthodontist office—a treasure hunt, wheel of fortune, or bucket of prizes. We switched from another orthodontist and we are so glad. Surf and Smiles is the best!

The process of getting my Invisalign with Dr. Gardner and his team was so pleasant. From beginning to end, I was well taken care of and they always did a great job of explaining everything to me. I certainly recommend his office for anyone looking for orthodontic work.

Dr Gardner is amazing! He’s been helping straighten my son’s teeth (13) for almost 2 years. It’s been such a smooth and pleasant experience my husband and I both decided to straighten our teeth. My son has medical challenges that involve a lot of stressful appointments. This is the one place he goes where he has no stress or fear. Dr.Gardner has been excellent in his approach with our son and has patiently progressed with us as we made it the beginning of his Invisalign journey. We had a great experience with Dr Gardner. He took his time with all 3 boys who needed braces. He fully explained our different options available to accommodate their individual needs. X-rays and consultations all completed for my 3 boys in one visit! The staff and assistants were very friendly, I highly recommend Surf and Smile.

After months of trying to choose an orthodontist for my daughter, I scheduled an appointment with Surf and Smiles based on a Google search because of location and great reviews. After a consultation there, I am so happy to report that we found a wonderful orthodontist that we are looking forward to working with for years to come. The staff we worked with were all so friendly, helpful, and personable. They explained everything they were looking at, what our options were going forward, and what they recommended would be the best route for our daughter at this time. Also, a little perk, I was happy to see that they offered Boxed Water to us and are doing good by offering a sustainable option to their clients. Definitely recommend them!
