Edit: I spoke with Lane, he made it right with me. Great customer service, thanks Lane. I appreciate your honesty and your outreach. My washer seemed to be broken, with water all over my basement floor. I had recently washed a quilt and the load had been unbalanced and there was a lot of banging before I could stop the machine. The next wash is when I had water all over. I called a repair company and was told washers only have a life span of about 5 - 7 years, so I went to King and Bunnys to look for a new washer. The salesman at K & B referred me to Superior Appliance since my washer was a GE and only 5 years old. I spoke with Don at Superior and he sent his son Lane out. Lane arrived at around 4:30 in the afternoon, after dark. He went into my poorly lit basement (I asked if he had a work light because the light is so dim but he said he'd use his phone.) He tipped the washer backward, bent over a bit and said the center tub seal was cracked and that I should replace the washing machine. He asked if I'd run it at all since or seen where the water was coming from, and I said no. He collected $130 and left. Time elapsed from beginning to end, 10 minutes. I bought the new washer that same night.
On the day the new washer was delivered, I found after install that the water on the floor was from a clogged drain line, not my old washer. It wasn't even broken. I called K & B the following morning but my old washer had already been scrapped. I feel as though Superior scammed me. Lane didn't see a cracked tub seal, it was late in the afternoon, he stopped by to collect a quick $130 and left.
Sorry, but I think I was scammed. K &B said they would talk to Don, but I never heard back from either.
