Based on prior reviews, I went here last week for a standard smog check. I did have a check engine light prior to arrival. The technician stated the vehicle failed and mentioned a few hoses that were cracked or one even disconnected. The technician did not show me those items, but did offer a free recheck within 30 days, standard practice. That visit cost me about 90 minutes of my time. I went to a different smog shop a week later, and the technician there pointed out the hoses that needed replacing immediately, showing me the disconnected hose, telling me that the other shop was lazy and should’ve pointed this out saving me time. The other technician even offered to cut new hoses if I ran down the street to a parts store and bought approximately 3 feet worth of hoses. I thanked him, he reset my check engine light, I gave him a tip and made the repairs myself after purchasing 3 feet of standard hose from an auto parts store for four dollars. I installed it in the parking lot myself using the old Worn out hose as a guide. The check engine light has now been off for three days worth of driving. It would have been nice at the shop done the same. In general service was friendly, but not very helpful in my circumstances.

The previous owners are gone. These new guys are unprofessional and will fail your car in the smog inspection, most likely on "a visual" as they tried to do with mine. They were disrespectful and abusive to my vehicle. THEY ADMITTED THEY MUST MEET THEIR QUOTA TO FAIL CARS. Con Artists!!!

I have received service from this workshop twice before, and I feel deceived. When I went for the oil change of my first car, they changed the oil and then claimed my front brake pads were worn out and needed replacement. Since then, I have driven over 5,000 miles, and my brake pads are still in good condition; they don't make any noise. When I went to a tire shop for a repair due to a burst left front tire, they confirmed the brake pads were in good condition when they were removed, and I verified by inspecting them closely. Later, when my car's oil change light came on after 5,000 miles, I checked the oil level and found it significantly low. It became evident that they had put too little oil during the previous change. To confirm this, I went for another oil change, and after checking the oil level, I noticed it was low again, approximately one liter short. This workshop deceives its customers; please be cautious. I have uploaded documents as photos for all the details mentioned above; you can verify them.

Excellent service and great prices! There is no outrageous extra charges or upsells, the price the give you is pretty much what you're paying out the door. After my first service this is definitely the place im coming to for all of my maintenance!

Had good experience at this shop. Service was no nonsense in and out, no sweet talk, just business, which is actually a good thing when you deal with car mechanic shops. I had my smoke check and oil change done here, everything went well. Prices are reasonable, I will be back in the future.

At first he was rude, no greeting, no smile, just fill your name and sign. Online ad, by which I found them stated $39.95. I completed the paperwork and signed basically an empty repair order with no estimate. When it was time to charge, he simply walked away and send his nice co-worker. Co-worker was nice. Co-worker asked for a credit card which I handed to him and then he stated $59.95, which was not what I was hoping to pay, but OK. So I asked what am I paying for, co-worker had no clue he called the rude guy back they guy said your vehicle failed the visual, but you must pay. Came in for a Smog Check, the guy took the key, came back and said your vehicle failed the visual and charged me $59.95. I do have a an aftermarket intake installed on the car which visible from a few seconds of popping the hood. He did pop the hood looked at it and yet continued with the smog even tough knew it was going to fail. I worked for Toyota for over 10 years in service department, and as a courtesy to a client, if we saw something like this, we would let the customers know, that regardless of the emission readings it would still fail. We would recommend the client to fix this before performing the smog. I would totally understand the charge for a Smog if everything look ok, but it failed because of an emission as you can not know that before you actually perform the test. Do NOT recommend!!! Will contact BAR as well and file a formal complaint.
