Super Service of Aliso Viejo

Dear Mr. Cornwall, I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I received from your Super Service locations in Aliso Viejo and Placentia regarding my daughter’s 2008 Lexus RX 400h. In late February 2025, I brought the vehicle to your Aliso Viejo location after it began displaying several warning codes that appeared to be related to a failing hybrid battery. I met with Dion, your store supervisor, who conducted himself professionally and advised that the vehicle would be inspected. After approximately one week, Dion informed me that the diagnostic results indicated a faulty inverter, estimating that a new replacement would cost between $6,000 and $7,000. Given the car’s age, we agreed that sourcing a used inverter would be the most practical solution. I located a used unit on Amazon and had it shipped directly to your shop. After nearly four months, I finally received the vehicle back on June 28, 2025. Unfortunately, after only three days of driving, the same issue reoccurred—multiple warning codes appeared, and the vehicle lost all power while I was on the I-5 freeway, leaving me stranded. I had the car towed back to the Aliso Viejo shop via AAA and again spoke with Dion. Following two additional months of diagnostics, Dion informed me that the car needed to be sent to your Placentia location for further evaluation. During this time, I spoke with your district manager, Don, whose demeanor was notably unprofessional and dismissive. At one point, he remarked, “Why are you bothering my team and me?”—a statement I found both inappropriate and disrespectful. Don insisted that the inverter needed replacement once again and stated that his supplier could provide a better-quality used part than the one I had provided. Despite my concerns about repeating the same repair, I agreed to proceed, having already invested $1,100.41 in labor at Aliso Viejo and $700 for the original inverter. I emphasized that if the issue was unrelated, I would pay accordingly, but repeating the same work should not come at an additional cost. After continued delays and disagreements, the vehicle was finally returned to me on September 4, 2025—more than eight months after I first brought it in. Don charged me an additional $1,771.65 for the same type of repair work, bringing my total expenditure to $3,572.06. What is most troubling is that within 24 hours of picking up the car, the same dashboard warning lights reappeared, indicating that the issue remains unresolved. Mr. Cornwall, I find it unacceptable that after eight months, multiple repairs, and thousands of dollars spent, your shops have failed to properly diagnose and repair the problem. Equally concerning is the dismissive and condescending manner in which I was treated by your district manager. I have since reached out to Dion at the Placentia Shop without a response from your team. I am requesting a full investigation into this matter and a complete refund of the $3,572.06 I have spent to date. If this issue is not resolved promptly and satisfactorily, I will have no choice but to pursue action through Small Claims Court. Thank you for your attention to this matter. This is a great auto place! I know jack about cars. All I know is, I dropped my car off here, and only 5 hours later, it was all fixed up. My car hadn't seen an oil change since 2024. They give you rides too. Shout-out to the guy with the pointy beard that picked me up and dropped me off! This place gives you a detailed description + photos! You know what you pay for. I have a 2011 Dodge Truck with 233,000 miles on it. Super Service keeps my truck up to date with their great overall services. Dion at the front desk, great guy to work with, and all their repairmen do great jobs in keeping my truck running smoothly. Trust these guys to get the job done and your vehicle running smoothly too!

I can’t say enough good things about these people. I was having emergency car issues on a Sunday and needed to get to LA. I didn’t even know they were closed but they took me in regardless, they were so helpful and so quick and kind and did it all at no cost. Luis was the mechanic and he was very knowledgeable and I forget the other man’s name but he was also very helpful and kind. Thank you so much for helping me out at a time of need! I recommend anyone going there.

Had a great experience at Super Service of Aliso Viejo! I brought my car in for an oil pan leak, and they got it fixed quickly and professionally. Dion was awesome—knowledgeable, friendly, and kept me updated throughout the process. It’s refreshing to find an honest and reliable shop like this. Highly recommend!

Was going to sell my car (47k miles on it). Decided to hold off on that and get it serviced for the 50k miles. My car (2014 Buick Encore Premium) was taken in right away when I arrived for my appointment. I had the full inspection and recommendations all written out. I was told I could wait for some of the items on the list. I had the oil change, coolant flush and will get the differential service in the next few months. My car is driving great and now I don’t want a new car! Thank you!

Took my car in for 100,000 mile tuneup and they took care of everything very easy to work with.Sent me pictures and prices of everything that needed to be done. I okayed it and had my car back by the end of the day. And now she runs like brand new.

I’ve been taking my car to Super Service Aliso Viejo a little over a year now. It’s been the best service I’ve received. Dion, the Service Advisor is very attentive and knowledgeable. He has been very helpful in explaining the needs of my vehicle. I trust the service that is being done on my vehicle. I use to take my car to the dealership, but I prefer Super Service in AV. It is more affordable and the quality of service has been way better! Hey take pride in helping their customers. They have a convenient ride share service where I can drop my vehicle off and they set up a ride share for pick up and for return. Super convenient when I have to go to work. The waiting area is comfortable with snacks and TV while you wait. Super Service in Aliso Viejo is the only place I will take my vehicle now. I highly recommend!
