Big time thank you to both Dr. Samia Malik and FNP-BC Stephani Schutt and the entire staff at Sunshine Medicine Associates. I would give them 1000 Stars in my review if possible. I developed mild right side headaches and neck pain that have been ongoing for two months. My primary healthcare provider gave me a referral for neurology and I am very lucky to have Doctor Malik and NP Schutt. They are both extremely knowledgeable and wanting to understand what is going on and why. NP Stephani did a basic evaluation screening and listened to me what was happening. She ordered additional testing and then Doctor Malik came in to explain the process. I especially liked what Doctor Malik said because there are many things she can do but wants to first wait for the test results. They both earned my immediate trust and confidence and how to proceed. THANK YOU again to Doctor Malik and FNP-BC Stephani. You both are awesome and wonderful.

I have chronic urticaria for over 2 years and the hives were so angry can cause me get into ER 3 times in a month. I’ve looked for a lot different doctors all over florida for my problem and no one can help me out. Dr Salim, he is the only one can cure me. He is so patient on treating my urticaria. After 2 visits, he controlled my urticaria. Thank you Dr Salim, you are the best.

A wonderful staff and I would like to personally thank two individuals. Ms. Stephanie and Ms. Patricia for having wonderful customer service and asking the right questions. The one of the best staff in the Tampa Bay Area.

I've always had great experiences with Sunshine Medicine and the staff, but lately it's been unprofessional. The communication with the office staff and the providers needs to improve, I've had to contact numerous times to have my medication sent to my pharmacy and it was pulling teeth to have them do their job that I paid my copay for. I'm very disappointed, I've had good experiences with them in the past but this is unacceptable.

For 2 days I've been trying to reach ANYONE with questions regarding paperwork for my son's school via calls, chats, voicemail and the portal but you can't get a person on the phone. There not even an option to speak to the front desk everything just sends you to a VM! It's absolutely absurd and very unprofessional. We will definitely be looking for a new neurologist and immunologist at this point.

My son was supposed to be a new patient today, but I decided to leave because office staff was clearly violating HIPPA via a nurse/receptionist blasting a parent on speaker phone for everyone to hear. All of the childs medical information was out in the open. I did inform the receptionist about the issue and that it was a violation and terribly unprofessional. They blew me off. Of course, I did not want this to be me or my child in the future. I asked for a refund, which they did comply, but they were unable to print me verification of the refund. I asked to speak to the office manager, and they made a bunch of excuses. So, I asked to speak with the doctor whom the staff was running back and forth asking him questions. His reply was that if she's not seen, she can leave. I demanded a receipt at this point, not believing they couldn't print one out. The staff came out with a printed screenshot of a tablet. I told the doctor HIPPA violations are no joke and neither was my money ( I am self pay) he then ripped the screenshot of a receipt from my hand, crumbled it and threw it across the room. Then, he proceeded to yell at me yell at me violently (using profanity) to leave his office. All in front of other patients, including children. Absolutely crazy, ridiculous situation. Please do not subject yourself to this terrible, sketchy I might add facility. All I wanted was a receipt stating I'd been refunded. Shame on them for violating HIPPA and shame on them for taking advantage of families. This is him in the photo covering his name. This is him in the photo below. I'm posting a photo because he's a pediatric doctor. With an ill temper, he should not be seeing children.

I had extremely bad migraines EVERY single day. I started with Dr. Malik and then started working with Stephanie Schutt, Nurse Practitioner. They were finally able to find a medicinal combination that had relieved me of daily migraines. Stephanie is so patient and kind. So happy I found a practice that was finally able to get me relief to function throughmy daily duties at home and work.

Based on one visit, no testing done. The office staff was welcoming + helpful and our nurse was pleasant. I was looking for a long term allergist for my daughter as we are fairly new to the area. My first impression of Dr. Salim is that he is professional, confident and knowledgeable. He listened to my concerns and was spitting out information faster than I could process it. It was a lot to take in, but I liked that he had an answer and/or suggestion for every question or concern I had. He was thorough. The office is really busy, but it looks like they all work well together to manage the flow. Ultimately, I decided not to move forward with him because I am looking for an Allergist who does OIT/SLIT for food allergies. He offers SLIT, but only for environmental. The reason I docked a star is that he prescribed an asthma inhaler for my daughter that contained dairy derivatives knowing she has a dairy allergy. He said it would be safe for her to use. Now this may very well be true, but we were about to go on a week long cruise vacation and it wasn’t something I wanted to risk. I called the office and asked him to switch it. The second inhaler prescribed still had dairy derivatives. I couldn’t wrap my mind around this as there are other options with no dairy. Just for the peace of mind of the patient, it should’ve been done. I didn’t bother calling back to ask them to switch it.

I'm having surgery in 2 weeks and my surgeon has requested a letter from all my Dr's (Primary-Thoracic Surgeon, etc, including my Neurologist Dr Malik.) My surgeons office has called, I have called, any have gotten no response, so today I stopped in the Westchase office to see if I could pick it up and was told "WE DON'T DO THAT", WELL THANKS A LOT! I suggest that you don't go to this office for any neurology problems, seems they are too busy for a patients needs..............VERY DISAPPOINTED TO SAY THE LEAST!!
