Are you aware that the State Government is going to introduce a Queensland Government waste levy as early as January 2019? Despite what the Government would have you believe .This will effect prices to consumers. Say no to the Queensland Government waste levy.
In August last year the Government announced there would be an independent investigation into large scale interstate dumping of rubbish, mainly from NSW. Most of this waste is trucked to Ipswich where it is dumped in large, privately owned dump sites. At the time the Minister concerned stated. “Environment Minister Steven Miles said there were no plans for a waste levy to be introduced in Queensland. Even if it was recommended in the review.”
He said “the Government has categorically ruled out a levy in the final months of the current term. There are no discussions about making it an election issue for the next term”.
I am not a politically active person, I have never written to a politician, Like most people I am busy making a living, and bringing up a family. I am however really tired of being mislead and blatantly lied to by politicians.
Please feel free to share this as you wish. Please also feel free to contact the Minister concerned, she is:
