QLD rubbish/waste tax is on its way. Yes you read right. The QLD Government is introducing a "Tax" on rubbish. This will impact most if not all. Building/buying a new home? You will pay more for that house. Cleaning up the shed, you will pay more. Having a spring clean, you will pay more.This is nothing but a money grab from a State Government that can't keep its finances in order. They even stated prior to the last election there would be NO such tax, yes the Minister stated this, amazing ha. This is what he actually said, “Environment Minister Steven Miles said there were no plans for a waste levy to be introduced in Queensland. Even if it was recommended in the review.
He said “the Government has categorically ruled out a levy in the final months of the current term. There are no discussions about making it an election issue for the next term”.
This is the level of contempt the QLD Government has for its electors to clearly state this prior to the election.

This tax is also opposed by local Government/ councils, they know one of the BIG impacts of this will be a significant increase in illegal dumping. Good one Queensland Government.
