Rust staining across the top of the old Rheem unit confirmed the tank had reached the end of its serviceable life. Attempting repairs on a tank leaking from internal corrosion would have been a temporary fix at best. Our technician drained and removed the failed system from this Maroochydore unit, then installed a compact 80L Everhot electric storage designed to fit the cupboard space. The complete valve set was fitted including tempering, expansion, and pressure limiting valves. New 15mm copper pipework connected the system to existing supply lines. Sunshine Coast Plumbing and Hot Water lodged the required QBCC Form 4 and commissioned the hot water system with outlet temperature verification. Older units showing rust at seams or the top plate may be close to failure. Book an assessment before the tank fails completely.
